He also said in the beginning "The bike was never put into gear" that's horseshit because people do that to stop them from rolling and what not and people shift them on the show room floor, I imagine ...
He means the clutch has never been engaged, and it has never been put into gear while the engine was running, therefore not introducing any of the major internal stresses that occur with that.
@@td2791 He literally says “the clutch lever has never been pulled in”... I don’t think it gets any clearer than that. Says nothing about engine running or not. He now cannot say the clutch lever has never been pulled in.
My 02 KX250 has never been raced and never been ridden hard. I don't believe it has ever even been muddy. I acquired it a few years ago and it is in mint condition. I fire it up from time to time to ride it around my yard. I want to take it and run it hard somewhere but it is a survivor and in such good condition. It would be hard to do. Love these classic 2 stroke bikes.
i have a 86 KX125 that has been sitting for many years that needs a lot of love. Changed all the fluids last week and it started right up, runs good, missing all the plastic pieces except the front and rear fender, missing the air box and a few other things. If i cannot find the stuff cheap to bring her back to glory, i am just going to junk the thing.
I bought this gem and I can tell you I have never had a better contact to any seller than Ken Kaplan. I highly recommend him and his great bikes. Thank you very much Ken for this fantastic machine, your professional service and assist on shipping. God bless
My favourite engine, Period these pulled like a four stroke even way down low and wouldn’t stall almost at idle when chugging it in first, Amazing torque from the machine and a trip down memory lane. Thanks!
When the government says you can’t run your business, you have to do what you have to do. I vote that museum is essential and the politicians’ jobs are inessential. More bikes less government!

You take off the air filter and spray the engine fog into the carb for 5-10 seconds while it is running and shut it off while you are still spraying, replace the filter, plug the exhaust, drain all the liquids, and you have an engine ready to store.

Gorgeous bike, quick question what does it mean when you say you "fog the cylinder"? Does that help for storing for long periods of time?
Fogging the engine is a fantastic way to prevent any kind of corrosion or having any seals from drying and cracking
