My 2000 GMC sierra with a 5.3 L does the same thing when it’s cold except it has low lopes and it acts like it’s about to die. Mind you I’m in Colorado So maybe a little bit of high elevation has something to do with it too

Bruce Mcfadin I drive it 20 miles home from work and it still has a massive lope in the idle. Close to 1400 RPM down to 400 RPM. Maybe the intake manifold gasket?

My truck did this. Cleaned the sensor towards the front of throttle bodies. On the right side where the intake hose connects.

Rough idle could be caused from all kinds of things, mine was just a cold start
