Yeah I finally cracked on my "No Mikus" policy. Hatsune Miku is too strong. The song is the Aria "Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen" from the opera "The Magic Flute." Original at www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1500585
indistinguishable at the smallest intervals, that family of instruments is also known for mimicking the human vocal chords so its pretty cool of you to point that out.
For those fools who don't know, "The Magic Flute" is singspiel not an opera, becasue it has voices that aren't singing. This song is also considered to be the most taxing and difficult soprano song in history. Good job, Miku!
I've seen The Magic Flute before so I understand Der Hölle Rache is one of the darkest scenes in the opera. Miku's cute voice completely destroys that darkness.(≧∇≦)
Man, I wish you could read the Japanese comments and see how they are different compared to comments under this video. A bunch of opera snobs are critiquing how Vocaloids lack "thickness in their voice" as if a cover song from 10 years ago would be a useful reference to that! It's like bunch of Vocaloid haters and music snobs come to TH-cam so they can freely shit on them. And they are almost always missing the point it's frustrating argh!
I want to see a Vocaloid opera song, they've done two plays: "Alice in Musicland" and "The Music Wizard of Oz", why not an opera? I think it would be interesting if the Vocaloids did a parody of "The Magic Flute".
Beautiful!!! I myself am trying to learn opera and with the lyrics there it is so much easier since I don't know German! Thanks for having Miku sing this! My favorite vocaloid singing a song of sheer brilliance!
Ah, yes. Good ol' nostalgia from my childhood. I remember having a big clunky desk computer where I watched VOCALOID. I was in 3rd or 4th grade when I found out about VOCALOID. I wish I can go back to those days. I wish to relive that beautiful old past.
If I remember correctly, this aria from Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" tells of the Queen's plan to kill Sarastro. She hands this task over to her daughter, Pamina, and threatens to disown and curse her should she fail to kill Sarastro.
The epic pitch of the computer generated voices are an interesting twist on classical repertoire :) Nice execution on the editor's part, btw. Only mechanical flaw I heard was that the quadruplet runs oughtta be played with separation and minimal portamento
Holy shit, anyone else think her ah-ah-ahs sound like someone is playing (plucking) viola strings???? SHE IS SO CUTE and her voice is impressive!! sibladeko THANKS.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 😂🤣😂🤣. This is hilarious!!! Lots of words are mispronounced and the overall brightness of Miku's voice destroys the original context of this song! XD. It's fun to listen to anyways! >/_>
Well, I am glad that you cracked on your "No Mikus" policy (although I totally understand it XD) because this is beautiful. :) Makes me want to sing along...though maybe an octave or two lower. Lol.
@VEGETALEJANDRO it is a video, so youtube constantly sendes you different types of quality witch makes the pixels increase or decrease. and so it looks like the picture warps itself around all the time. I hope this is what you meant.
@595o No, I know it premiered on the day of his death for sure and also that the 'Requiem Mass for Leopold Mozart' was not finished. I heard from my music teacher he died during this song, although he died the next morning in the movie "Amadeus".
@XylonLionheart Eeee that would be awesome if someone could do the whole opera with the characters! I can just imagine them wearing cute costumes, esp. the papageno costume, that would be sooo cute! This is really adorable, the Queen of the Night is supposed to be scary, but this is just too cute!
My favourite song from Magic Flute! Love it! Although I think Miku's voice is too cute for the soprano voices like this one, a vocaloid like Luka would probably make it sound more dramatic and alive. Nevertheless this is still fantastic! Well done!
I wonder what Mozart could have made with this software.
Mozart-P
He'd have probably laughed maniacally and started writing music for it.
He would have made anime real
Maybe something really good.
Mozart would be godlike if he had a software like this. He wouldn't need a diva and he would have no limitations for his arias
In the actual show this song is sung by an evil queen bent on revenge
and then there's Miku with her adorable little voice
I was about to say, yeah XD
Cool also yeah miku's voice is so cute
miku is harassing Len of the death of Rin but the murderer is gumi the ¨daughter¨ of Miku
Miku is the true queen everyone make way for ur new queen
I mean...the world is hers
"That was not Mozart laughing, Father. That was Miku. That was MIKU laughing at me through that obscene giggle!"
Ben Powell, I can't stop laughing.
Best comment.
I’m sorry I’m missing the reference here.
@@imcintyre01 The movie, Amadeus. It's one of the scenes.
oh, my....this is movie 'Amadeus' Narrative.........great !!
she sounds like a violin! sort of
You she does in the aaaaa a a a a a a part

I like how she always sounds flawless if you don't know the language she's singing.
For those fools who don't know, "The Magic Flute" is singspiel not an opera, becasue it has voices that aren't singing.

So in other words, it’s a musical?
@@frankwu4747 yes
@@frankwu4747 A fancy musical.
Come on, it's opera.
Where's my opera glasses?! Bravo! Bravo!

The newer versions have different voicebank types and growls for more emotional effects. I'd love to see this recovered

Man that would be awesome, and Mitchie M would tune the voices since he did the "ah" notes in Future Overture
yes
At some parts she sounds like shoes squeaking on a basketball quart
Dude, this was amazing (espescially thé "ah" parts
Good grief is there anything Miku can't sing?
Probably Baila de Sehu but don't quote me on it.
I never heard her sing despacito before

Well... this is raw epicness, it doesn't get any better than this unless it's the entire opera, now that would be BEYOND EPIC.
