Thank you for bringing this video out of the "vault", Jaw Tooth! It was nice to see this 0-4-0 tank engine again. It was fun to watch this engine puffing its way down the tracks.
My youngest daughter and I got to ride this 6-7 years ago when it was in town. What a great experience! Now thanks to you I can watch more video of it. Thanks JT!
Great catch, JT! I like that GP30 and saddle tank steam loco. The railroad did a good job restoring those Delaware, Lackawanna and Western coaches, too.
We used to live in a house where the back porch was about 20 feet from the railroad until I was about 4 years old. I think this is where my love for trains comes from.
What "did it" for me was your segment beginning @12:21 with the young boy in the foreground intently watching the little steam engine approach, followed by your closely following it to the grade crossing (and beyond). Talk about "pulling on my heartstrings"... 🙂👏
If I lived in that house I would welcome any steam engine at any time in my yard! I'd be out on the deck watching it go by! Better yet, thumbing a ride with it right there! LOL Loved this video, Jawtooth! Thanks!!
That little type of steamer is sometimes referred to as a lokie and spent its working life far away from the public and cameras. Then one day it's restored and people flock to see it. In comparison there was a litter of dogs and probably Loki will be the best-known dog from that group. Relatively small in size but with a big heart
0:45 Found some pictures of train engines being moved by heavy haul semi trailers but none were Lebanon. Interesting that the truck option is cheaper for Lebanon RR than paying the track warrants. Fun fact: many helicopters used to spray insecticide on corn fields are also moved by semi while working their way south to north as the farming season progresses throughout the summer.
Wow. Amazing steam engine. A while back, I remember watching a series with 2 seasons with the Gremlings and their rebuilt steam engines. They traveled with an engine named Hank and an 0-6-0 to various railroads around the country
Pretty cool love the train 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂 Horn sounds good to me my favorite car is the caboose last car your dog and cat from Indiana love your train 🚆🚆🚆🚂🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚂 video
That seat where Bryson was there at the end is exactly where I sat when I rode that train 2 years ago! I'm riding the long trip on there this fall to the Casino and back!
Beautiful piece of history you shared ....The reminded me of school; days....Loved watching it...Thanks for the beautiful share...Regards Khalique...{:-)
That's the little engine that COULD! I love to see the results of efforts of this father and son team to keep old engines like that running, so people can continue to enjoy them. Just so cool! I was wondering where the coal was stored without a tender. Then I read your description. 🙄
Great video JT. Love the sound of good steam whistle. Well looked after loco. Hope they get that track work done and maintain that old line. I'm about to go on a steam train ride in a few days, so I appreciate the effort that goes into keeping these old engines and lines going.
"JT" : A great video as usual ! Those little 0-4-0 "dock side" tank engines have a special place with model railroaders because they were / are always the least expensive engines we could afford when the cash was low. Oh the memories ! 👍👍👍
yrs ago my dad had a frend on the pa rail/he stopped in new eagle pa/dad and i got on and rode a few miles to monongahela,pa/great memorie of the steam loco
My girlfriend and I were planning to take a ride on this train, this year, but it'll have to wait- she's getting chemo for her cancer. Her health and well-being come first and foremost- get well, soon, Deb!!!
Hey Jaw Tooth, as always another great video and here in Lebanon, OH. great to see the locomotive going through this was very exciting and seeing all the trains here was great to see another great video of trains and beautiful scenery in your videos Thank You Jaw Tooth. 🤠 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Nice video JawTooth! I rode that line a few years ago. Also noticed they just painted the coaches back to olive green. The 2 are former DL&W motor Mus. I like it!
I can’t get over seeing the clear skies and clouds. Been nothing but hazy skies here in southeastern Michigan for over a week. I was wondering where the coal bin was for the steam train. That looks like it would be a fun ride, too
Very good video my friend!!!
I swear you could smell the steam, oil and coal as the train rattled over the road crossing, best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧

I liked that ''fixer upper'' house on the track awhile back... got me wanting to check it out... Hmmm
It would be fun to live there and see the trains passing by.

I wish we had something like this in Lebanon Tennessee I know we’re supposed to have a steam locomotive in a few years #576 after it’s restored.
What a cutie, she deserves all the air time she can get. And that whistle, baby doll! Loved it much, thanks JT!
Glad you enjoyed it

A awesome video from the past trains today. A nice video to watch. See you on the next, Brain. 😊
Thanks 👍
We rode that train back in 2019. Good times for sure. Just wish it was a longer ride. Great video
Thanks for watching! I agree. I wish they went at least past the diamond

I was wondering where the coal was stored without a tender. Then I read your description. 🙄
They showed me where it is kept just behind the engineer. I asked how many pounds of coal it will hold but they didn't know.

Who is more beautiful
Is it a steam train
Or a diesel train
I think the steam trains are. Thanks for watching and being here so fast!

Thank you very much!😊
Great video.
Nice video! I got to see this same engine at the Walkersville Southern Railroad at its namesake town in Maryland this past Memorial Day weekend.
Cool!😊
Truckers are taught to maintain at least fifteen feet from the tracks in case the train gets disembublated off the track.
that trailer at 10:54 that semi had a bad sudden stop and unsecured load! yeehaw!
Nice video JawTooth! I rode that line a few years ago. Also noticed they just painted the coaches back to olive green. The 2 are former DL&W motor Mus. I like it!

Good job. 😺
What kind of dog do you have. What are your dogs names. I really like your pets in the videos and the railfan part too😅😅😅
Its so easy to confuse that locomotive with their other 0-4-0 No. 75 Flagg Coal Company locomotive!
Like the whistle, don't know if it's a type of cime/baritone type,nice old diesels!🛤🚂👍
I can’t get over seeing the clear skies and clouds. Been nothing but hazy skies here in southeastern Michigan for over a week.
I was wondering where the coal bin was for the steam train. That looks like it would be a fun ride, too
Does this line have any freight revenue? Glad you posted this video.
Real cool. Curious....no Coal Tender ? Kept in the Caboose ? Thanks for your amazing efforts .
There is a coal bunker behind the cab of this locomotive.
It's so tiny and low! heck of a load with those two heavyweights and a caboose, looks like maybe a bit of wheel slip at that first crossing?
Thanks for watching 😊
I like you jawtooth
8:13 on the left that sadly looks like another old siding, just waiting to be torn out for infrequent or non-usage. ☹
A trip back in time.
I didn't see much of a coal car. How dose it operate? Thanks Jawtooth for the video.
Great vid.! @18:10 who is that, your girl?
I have 3 locos just like that on my H O layout. ATSF, B & O, READING.
Awesome!
I bought them from Clarkins the day after Christmas sale 1972. $5.99 apiece. Tyco and Bachman.
Who is Bryson to you? Sorry for asking but I don’t know...great video
He is my daughters son
Is that the end of train flag?
The last two cars appear to be former Lackawanna MU-coaches. They're unmarked, so whose are they?
Hey JT is there a reason that they put the caboose behind the engine?
🚂🚃🚃🚃super cool video in 4K. toppie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😅👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Hey j t Do you know where that d t and I caboos Home turf used to be
How far does that steam engine travel? 😊
It comes from Northeastern Indiana
Weren't those type of locomotives used in switching operations or on docksides? They don't have much of a tender so can't go too far
Yes 😊
Why is the caboose behind the tender? Not traditional.
back in the day how fast did a train like this go??
They would be fools to let that train go into disrepair... it is an asset as is now and a liability if it rusts up on them.
I just hope they keep the line running. It needs a lot of work right now.
Where is the coal kept for that engine
small bunker behind the engineer
@@JawTooth ok thanks
The fire on that loco is running too cool, a hotter grate burns all the carbon resulting to white smoke
thanks for the info!
Tarnation and catch me who can but it feels like 1872 all over again.
Chew chew, choke an egg or choke an egg or chew chew!!
