    Waaw!! The moment you sit back watching this video and looking at your $800+ 3D printer in the background and realizing how genius is this!!! Amazing work!!

      Thank you not my original idea although the builds are my ideas. I own 2 resin 3d printers my self but to be honest I didn't print a single space ship with them so far.

    These are all brilliant. I saw some pictures of clothes peg fleets for Warfleets FTL, and was inspired to try my own, so this video is really helpful. I've also got some different-sized, much smaller pegs for greebling and covering up the holes between pegs.

      I'm actually working on cladding those space ships in plastic and painting them up for a video so keep your eyes pilled for that.

  • @j453

    This is so simple and clever, I love it thank you for sharing! You could saw and sand the pins to change them up, and you could add in wires and plasticard for greeblings👍

    • @madeyeminiatures8787
      @madeyeminiatures8787  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm working on a follow up video to this one where i clad them in plasticard and work on some greebling, but my daily series is taking a lot of time from me. As to sanding them I tried but they are of such a bad quality that even sanding not do much to improve. And I got some smaller pegs so they can work well as Gribbles as well.

      @@madeyeminiatures8787 everything is a journey! Only thing I’m curious about is how the material will take to paint since wood is so porous. This is one time where a thick spray paint primer will be a good thing!

    • @madeyeminiatures8787
      @madeyeminiatures8787  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@03dashk64 I'm thinking about finishing them with a layer of plasticard to make some cool looking armor panels and save me from using too much paint as well I own airbrush so this could probably help.

    • @03dashk64
      @03dashk64 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@madeyeminiatures8787 plasticard would help to break up the solid panels. Or the textured part of a zip tie. Really any greebly bits with interesting textures. At this scale, almost anything will look neat.
      An air brush will definitely help with painting as well. Wood filler could help with smoothing transitions between various pieces, if you wanted that really sleek sci fi look. I don’t know how you are envisioning your ships.

    For a different project I had bought a huge bag of plastic spaceships miscellaneous color. but I felt they were too big once I got them for that particular project so they're in a bag someplace hopefully still in the garage. if I can't find them since I just recently bought billions suns this is a good way to build some ships.
    I'll be checking out the Facebook page too thanks for the inspiration. Subbed.
