Watching this video with my studio headphones on. This just opend my eyes. It's even more immersive, then listing to music on my JBL Bluetooth speakers, while i take bath and sing along. I might consider the 674,900$ worth an upgrade. This video excellently captures the true sound profile of these high-end speakers. The audio quality feels incredibly authentic, providing an immersive experience that truly showcases the capabilities of these remarkable speakers. Thank you your guidance. I was looking for a new pair of Speakers, that would fulfill my needs for years.

Just listened to the track in Hd on my system, pair of transmission line hand made speakers, Yamaha A-S501, yamaha CD player. MUCH less cost - just as good. Money dosen't make for music quality, design does...

Horns are harsh and bright
Actually sounds coloured with a distinctly canned quality. Maybe this is fault of the recorder and room acoustics but I sure don't hear this in other AVshowreports clips. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the horns were responsible. Definitely a cupped hands quality of sound typical of many horn speakers.

I hope these sound better than they look! I am a hard core audiophile and I would almost pay my right arm for the best audio equipment money can buy. That being said these are some of the OOgliest speakers I have ever seen and I love horns and electrostatics but really??! They look like some inverted super-sized hearing aids Magico WTF??!!!!

Beautiful sound, but is that the way it was meant to sound? If reproduction is the purpose of a fine speaker, then I would have to question the sound source. I would also be cursing, as another member of the Royal Saudi. But I cast the fleas of 20,000 camels!!
This demo is relatively pointless as you're only ever going to hear the quality of the speakers attached to your computer/phone.
+Thezuule Yep agree...If these were miced up properly in a recording studio with professional mics, then that would give a better sound although the sound of the speakers needs to listened to with your own ears.

I'm sure these speakers sound great--they better for so much money!--but my Lord they look like something out of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" movie. I imagine you must feel pretty small with some monstrosity like that towering over you.

Orchestral music is one of the most difficult to reproduce accurately. It has more micro and macro dynamics than the vast majority of pop, (even Dead Can Dance).
Not to mention, that the instruments are not manipulated in the studio, which all pop music is. So it is easier to tell if a speaker is reproducing music accurately, You have to get a baseline of accuracy, before some pop should be played.
Listen, I am a big fan of Dead Can Dance, as well as a large variety of prog rock, metal, jazz-fusion. But if I am evaluating a speaker, classical will always be one of my first go to sources.

At this rarified level, a room big enough to allow these speakers to breathe and perform their best is an absolute must.
The quality is kinda questionable. They were a bit cranked up in the video, which make speakers have better dynamics. If there's a demo with a lower volume, I will be more convinced.
They couldn't have thrown something on with a bit more instruments in and voice like maybe some Steeley Dan? $675k is insanity.

Actually, the Wilson Master Chronosonic far exceeds the Magico U-3 with Wilson sonic performance and realism. Listen for yourself at the Wilson TH-cam video.
Well no youtube video is ever going to give you a realistic impression of how a pair of loudspeakers are going to sound. The only way it could do is with a binaural recording using a dummy head and then playback on suitable headphones.
Of course with speakers of this size you'd need to sit considerably further back than these people are for proper driver integration. These are not speakers suited to hotel room hifi shows.

The best looking (exotic, artistic, etc.) speakers at around the 500 dollar range, are the JBL Studio 530 speakers! Amazing sound too! Now, back to dreaming about these Magicos!
The strange thing is nobody has given up their seat..they must sound appalling. Listen in person and you will fully appreciate the sound and engineering that goes into making theses loudspeakers. Peters stayed for the sound too.

From what I can tell these horns colour the music too much for my taste. I like the "regular" Magico speakers from your other videos better. Also I think they were too big for that room.
When you reach that point, it becomes more about the equipment, and not really that much about what the musicians are playing.
Are these speakers unable to handle reggae?

Looks are really terrible, sound is awesome !! Special at the classical song you can hear the great Quality of those speakers. Price i think way too much for those ugly looking speakers.

They look nice but they cost as much as my car. I will have to carefully consider whether or not I will buy these for my A/V system in the living room. I already have Paradigm surround speakers and a Boston Acoustics sub-woofer. I will wait and see, but so far I like them so far.

I am sure the drivers used are really top and wonderful but looking at how they are arranged there could be problem of time alignment with different freq reaching the listening point at different times. Great drivers that is sure.

gino Time alignment?? For what they cost, that shouldn't be an issue.! You should be able to have one in your living room the other in your dining room.. and they should still sound conventionally situated with respect to the listener no matter what living space one is in.
