I just finished crocheting my son a beanie and now he is like MAM i need a scarf to go with it. I was like boy i want to do my own thing, he was like come on i need a matching scarf. I made sure to let him know i am NOT doing gloves.
Your garden still looks very good after the frost! Some of my collards took some damage too. I said the same thing you said to Mother Nature "Girl you did a number out here on these plants" lol I look forward to the Avituvan Coop. I'm gonna need one too in the Spring. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos 💚💚💚
Enjoying watching you grow. I have a small channel working on a small quarter acre plot in Downtown Orlando in an Urban setting and love so much seeing you teach what you can do with what you have. Keep growing your hydroponics, it’s a game changer for any where you live in any space. Grow Gurrrr
Thank you! I’ll come check out your channel. I love finding other urban gardeners! I only grow in my hydroponics in the colder months but I love having them!
Years ago, a neighbor had a hydroponic system in a greenhouse. The fruit(tomatoes)was delicious! I’m in SC now; I miss those tomatoes! Walmart has a good selection of blackout curtains…doubles & singles.
The block of mycelium is ready to start making mushrooms when the mycelium is growing on the surfaces of the block. Opening holes in the plastic will allow more oxygen and allow mushrooms to grow in that location.
Wow I’m so impressed Asia! Your hat looks beautiful, you did such a great job! 👏🏾 👏🏾😃 I wish I learned how to knit, before I got arthritis. 😞 But gardening is my favorite hobby, it’s my 2nd year and thanks to you I learned a lot! Thanks for sharing your wonderful knowledge! ❤ You are definitely living your best life! So glad you are enjoying your life after leaving that toxic job! Love that your channel is growing too! You deserve it and more! God bless you! 😃❤️💕
grrl: you do it all! I am so impressed! I love, love, love the hat! I really like the rim. I am crocheting one now and have no idea what I am doing for the rim. I start at the top and work out from there. I appreciate you for sharing your life with us. Namaste.
Lol I try all the things and see what I like! I nice! My rim may look a little different because I had to do a draw string. It was a bit too big but a draw can fix that lol. I hope yours comes out nice! You’re welcome and thanks for watching! 🤗
First, love the colors of the hat! Looks great on you and does look like it was knitted! Second, slow down girl, I can barely keep up with you!😋 Thank you for your enthusiasm, it helps me to push through my work in the garden and in my life.👏🏽
You inspired me to get quail too! I just completed their coop that’s in with the chickens. I have to order an incubator and the eggs yet. Also I ordered shiitake mushroom plugs to put in logs that I cut down on my property. Raised beds are in the works too. You are an inspiration! Thank you!!
I have that same small green house. My second one. I took some small screws and screwed through the poles so they wouldn't keep falling apart. I can pick it up and move it anywhere. 🥰
That hat is so cute. Heather from Dage and Dtone Homestead has a few videos on mushroom growing. I believe she leaves the greenhouse unzipped sometime for airflow. She is still new to growing them also.
Thank you! I’ve watched all of her videos on mushroom growing lol. I love Heather’s channel! I put the fan in mine for airflow because I don’t want to have to leave it open inside my house. I believe Heather is growing her’s in a separate building. Thank you for the comment!
Love your hat! That’s some impressive crocheting 🧶! I crochet & knit sometimes. I have the Addiexpress knitting machines& the Sentro knitting machine too. Occasionally I knit hats for charities. It’s been awhile though. I use circular needles for my personal knitting 🧶. I have Tunisian needles too, but I never caught onto it though.
Thank you! O ok, nice! I haven’t gotten into the machines. I’ll have to look that up. I had to get used to keeping the loop on the needle for sure. When I switch between the two it takes me a minute to get it straight in my head lol.
I so interested in the mushrooms, I think sitting some water inside there will work or a small thing you put the essential oils in would probably work too, minus the oils. Thx 4 sharing!!
Are you going to give it a try? Love them! That makes sense. The fence is the only thing I can think that allowed my plants to make it through 18°. That and watering deeply before the cold weather hit.
In my part of NC, we had 4 - 5 nights of 17 - 21 degrees and my beautiful cabbages look killed, but how about my LETTUCE and chard still look good. My kale all survived. Some collards look ok, but my purple tree collards gave up the ghost. 😭
How about a big bag of that cheap burned wood charcoal with baking soda sprinkled on top just left open down there somewhere? I bet it absorbs the remaining smell! But I’m not sure! 🤔🤣
Thank you! I am thinking up putting the entire greenhouse inside of my larger greenhouse. I don’t think I’ll grow them on the ground or in my beds b/c other mushrooms sprout out there too.
Where'd you purchase the quail cage? You've encouraged me to get some. I pick them up on Saturday from a breeder. I know very little but I'll research and figure it out. Do you water the peppers or let them just set until it time to put them back outside? Thanks
Hi 👋🏾! I found the cage at Goodwill. O nice! Congrats! I hope you love it! I do but I don’t water them often. Since I put them in pots I’ve only watered them once. I just try to make sure the soil is moist.
I didn't see a link for the exercise bike. Are you waiting to review how you like it first? Sister, girl I'm glad to hear you will be the calling professionals .Very shaky situation. Thank God nothing serious happened. We want to help family out but not at the cost of family and property.. In my subdivision, a house was partially burnt because most likely not cleaning out that lint in that dang dryer.
Nope, I haven’t covered in the last two years. I don’t feel like doing it. I have trellises and posts I would have to take down to cover it and that’s a lot of work. I just give updates.
First, love the colors of the hat! Looks great on you and does look like it was knitted! Second, slow down girl, I can barely keep up with you!😋 Thank you for your enthusiasm, it helps me to push through my work in the garden and in my life.👏🏽

lol!
Awwww I love that! Lol it’s so awesome that he likes it that much! I can totally understand not doing gloves 🤣
Awesome job on your hat😊

great video happy you used caution about the mold
Years ago, a neighbor had a hydroponic system in a greenhouse. The fruit(tomatoes)was delicious! I’m in SC now; I miss those tomatoes! Walmart has a good selection of blackout curtains…doubles & singles.

Your garden still looks good..im over here mourning my fall garden..guess ill just wait for spring. Thx for showing off..lol
O no! I honestly thought I was going to be too b/c my plants have already been through so much. Lol that made me laugh!
I love peeking in at those cute cuddly little quails ! 🥰 They look so comfy in their little crate ! ☺️
Asia you look so cute with your hat, I crochet like you, good job :)

They looking good for 18 degree weather
Right! I’m really thinking the privacy fence helped!
Love the video ❤
Enjoyed the tour . Girl I hollered when u said Lord you have kill these plants too funny. 👍🏽
Hi Sue 👋🏾! Lol glad I was able to give you a laugh. I need to go check on those plants!

Peace and blessings. Thank you for all that you do!
Have a good day 🎉
That hat looks great! Tunisian crochet rocks. I really need to actually do a project in that style sometime.

O yay! Sounds like you’ll be busy! I love it. Good luck and happy growing and quail raising!
Yes I would like to grow mushrooms too
I really like your hat I love making hats I either crochet hat or a knit hats but anyway, I love your hat so you can make me one ha ha lol
That hat is hatting!!
Thanks Broke!
Good job and your work looks amazing! Enjoyed the content! Keep on grinding & growing
Hey Asia 👋🏾 fellow crocheter here 😊. Your hat looks fabulous ❤. I just made a Christmas stocking for the first time and I love it 😁.
The mushrooms that got mold were being kept to wet.
Hello beautiful great morning.
I have that same small green house. My second one. I took some small screws and screwed through the poles so they wouldn't keep falling apart. I can pick it up and move it anywhere. 🥰
I that’s a good idea! Glad it has worked out!
Hey fellow gardener and crocheter! 🤍
👋🏾👋🏾

@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead yes I love her channel also. Yes, she is growing hers in a detached shed.
Love your hat! That’s some impressive crocheting 🧶!

West/central NC here and my beautiful collards patch took a hard freeze hit this past week too...looks rough 😢 oh well.
Awww I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully they’ll bounce back!
I so interested in the mushrooms, I think sitting some water inside there will work or a small thing you put the essential oils in would probably work too, minus the oils. Thx 4 sharing!!
Hi! Yeah I’m thinking that could work too. I hadn’t thought about using the essential oil diffuser. Thanks for that idea! You’re welcome!
I wana grow mushrooms!
Yay hydroponic gardening
The fence probably creates a microclimate
Are you going to give it a try?
Love them!
That makes sense. The fence is the only thing I can think that allowed my plants to make it through 18°. That and watering deeply before the cold weather hit.
🐿️
Good afternoon 🍆 🥑 🥒 🥬 🚪 Cincinnati 💛💛💛💛 Love your 👒.
❤❤❤🥰
Live Quail Cam ™️
I have tropical houseplants, and I put a glass of water next to them for humidity. Maybe that'll work?
Ok thank you! I’m going to give that a try. I spray into the tent daily but I’m wondering if that will work!
The mushroom spores are the reason why I don't grow them.
🙏🏽💛💛💛🫂
In my part of NC, we had 4 - 5 nights of 17 - 21 degrees and my beautiful cabbages look killed, but how about my LETTUCE and chard still look good. My kale all survived. Some collards look ok, but my purple tree collards gave up the ghost. 😭
O yes, that’s how are temps were too. I’m sorry to hear you lost some plants. O wow, what variety of lettuce did guy plant?
@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead Oak leaf lettuce & a couple romaine varieties.
How about a big bag of that cheap burned wood charcoal with baking soda sprinkled on top just left open down there somewhere? I bet it absorbs the remaining smell! But I’m not sure! 🤔🤣
That could actually work. I’ll need to make sure it’s safe for them but I appreciate the comment for sure! Thank you! 🤣
Your beanie is so cute! I’ve never tried crocheting before . Always a fun video , may I ask if you are ever going to grow mushrooms outside ?
Thank you! I am thinking up putting the entire greenhouse inside of my larger greenhouse. I don’t think I’ll grow them on the ground or in my beds b/c other mushrooms sprout out there too.

@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead Awesome thanks!! I just have to figure something out to keep it smelling fresh indoors with the Quails. Thanks again.
I know this is off topic but we’re doing spring is here when it comes right?
Yep! I plan to do that series this year!
Zip tie your greenhouse shelves. Don’t trust the shelves by themselves. You can easily lose your mushrooms or plants because the shelves are unstable.
Will do that today! Thank you!
What about a humidifier
I’m looking into that option!! Thank you!
I didn't see a link for the exercise bike. Are you waiting to review how you like it first? Sister, girl I'm glad to hear you will be the calling professionals .Very shaky situation. Hi! It should be up some time this week. The company has to review the video first. Thank you! I’m glad to finally have a solution for sure!
@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead 😊
Asia, I heard you should never grow mushrooms in your house. Because it’s a fungus and can spread.
I'm curious what is the point of NOT covering them up to see if they die 🤷
Nope, I haven’t covered in the last two years. I don’t feel like doing it. I have trellises and posts I would have to take down to cover it and that’s a lot of work. I just give updates.
