I am cheating on answering your questions.... It's because I know that the player creates the sound my friend, as far as the instrument has been correctly set-up! I totally agree with and support your conclusion on instruments that cost low! Keep rocking man 🤘🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Ah thank you so very much!!:) Very kind of you to say this :) I do think that 'cheap' guitars can provide awesome tones - if I had lots of money I sure would be comparing these with expensive guitars, but it wouldn't make me play any better :) cheers! Thanks for always watching and supporting :)
I will say what has been cheap guitars in the past are known to be really great guitars now and not so cheap. If you are comfortable with a guitar that is what matters. New pickups can always give some new angles. Plus you can get some new sounds that inspire me to make new music, Always a treat CHOEY!! Great work man!!!
Yes! There are many (in NZ) cheap guitar copies that are now super expensive. Vester, Hondo, Fernadez, Tokai, and other made good copies in the 90s and are now sought after. That is the best thing about an upgrade, it makes we want to jam more!!:) Cheers PV!:)
@@CHOEYGMUSICEvery time. Well I have to setup the neck. Maybe some new strings. Bridge set. Well maybe some pickups. Damn this thing sounds good. Hit the record button. LOL!
Brilliant video mate! You just proved that great tone mostly comes from your fingers. You could play any guitar and it'll sound superb. In this case, your pick up swap really works on this man, fantastic sound from the guitar and an excellent demonstration. Regarding the neck on your LTD, I know what you're on about here. I have a telecaster that some guy built near me that I picked up for 350 quid. The neck on it is incredible. There's no finish on it so it just glides and it's super easy and comfortable to play, it's one of the best playing guitars I've picked up. Great work again fella, really enjoyed this one 👍
Yes! Totally! All of the necks on my Les Paul's are glossed and it just doesn't run as nicely - I'm used to it now but still. I know some people sand the gloss off. I'm hoping to have it naturally worn from playing so much ahah... might take another 20 years but I'm willing to put in the time! Cheers man, great to hear all of this :)
Ok, you need to get down a lil more here 2:21 😅 Jokes apart. Yeah, I think it really gives you a whole new, and different vibe to the guitar when you upgrade them. But yes, it's not necessary to get an expensive guitar. You said it best, "good cheap guitar" is enough. Many needs to hear that. That was so cool🤘🏾 Always good to see guitar related videos from you brother. And, I think you should do more of these kind of shredding 3:49. That's a very cool sounding lick right there. 🤘🏾 Cheers! 🤘🏾
Hahaha!! \m/ Cheers man!!:) Yes, you are right man, cheap guitars are awesome, as long as they stay in tune haha!! Glad you liked those outro licks man, I will try to add some more shred into my jams!!:) \m/
It is! I love my modified stratocaster with mid-boost. Tbx control tone. Lundgren pickups BJFE set and a neck from Allparts. Awesom video! And awesome updates on your guitar 🤘
Always interesting to get your opinion about guitars Choey. I remember the video where you changed the guitar microphones (pickups in english ?). Big work. Cool video as always with nice demonstration of what you are able to do and play on a guitar. Have a great day my friend. ^^
Yes, that is the video where I changed the pickups!!:) Great to hear you remembered :) thanks Thierry, great to hear you enjoy hearing me discuss guitars :) have an awesome day!
I myself wouldn't have put Epiphone pickups on a esp Ltd not a big fan of Epiphone or Gibson pickups I like Ltd pickups better. Want to see what really good pickups sound like buy Seymour Duncan Blackouts.
I have to agree, it wouldn't have been my first choice. Actually, this video could almost say "is it worth downgrading a cheap guitar" as I did have Seymour Duncan's in this LTD, but I have put them in my Les Paul Custom. The standard LTD pickups did sound great. I quite like the look of these gold ones in the LTD, I might need to check the wiring as an odd sound now and again. Cheers!
@@CHOEYGMUSIC I like the way the LTD looks with the Gibson pickups but anyway I don't use anything else but Seymour Duncan or active pickups. I don't play anything else but schecter guitar's now they are the best guitars I ever played and I tried Gibson and fender plenty of times LTD aren't bad but they don't quite got schecter guitar's beat anyways that's my opinion.

That LTD is very cool and sounds great with those LP pickups, I've played a few ESP/LTD guitars much like that one and the necks are super comfortable
