Nice video but you totally forgot about the camber kit... you'll need that to keep those tires from wearing out on the inside... and don't depend on your coilovers for fixing that negative camber. While you may get away with toe you definitely need A-arms up front and some rear upper camber arms for the back. Rear toe arms again will depend on your coilovers (springs, dampening, rim size). Don't make the same mistake the previous owner of my 06 TL did.. threw lowering springs, 20in rims, and no camber kit. Car rode like hell and he ate tires up every 2 months. That's why he sold the car (good for me because I got a great deal and made my money back by selling those ugly 20's)
how necessary are coilovers really on this car tho? one of the things i’ve always loved most about my stock 04 TL is how smooth and soft the ride is. i’ve never felt like coilovers were really necessary
I'm building my 04 tl. First thing is on Wednesday I send it to rebuild the transmission! Excited about that! 2700 for everything and paid 1200 for the car kuz transmission was bad.. its sitting on some ugly 20 inch rims and want to replace with stock for now and need to replace the front black seats and window and regulator and motor for driver side window
So I have a 2008 type S with 210000 miles still runs strong, but is old and gentle, will these mods mess up my engine? Should I put in a new one or just go for it yolo
That's because the stock setup already draws cold air from the outside. You could just drop in a high flow air filter and call it a day. Aftermarket CAIs provide esthetics and the sound.
Be careful putting in the cold air intake make sure u don’t drive ur car in water if it’s low cuz there goes ur engine never happened to me but I also never thought I’d have to drive around water in cali
@@DrivenCarss one more thing this is going to be my first car that I’m going to mod you think is a good first car to get if not do you have any suggestions?

Aem intake is no different from a 45 dollar intake. If it’s a 3 inch pipe it’s a three in pipe brand doesn’t change that what will make the difference is the filter brand. Buy cheap 45$ intake that’s shaped the same way going down towards the fog light and then buy a k & n filter or green filter and you got the same sh** all you’re paying for for aem and ingen intakes basically is the filter and it being California legal
semi true actually, some cars that have MAF sensors that are in the intake tubing and if the sensor is too far or too close to the throttle body it will cause the check engine light to come on.
@@DrivenCarss that’s why I said find one same shaped. They just pull dimensions of the wiring harness and intakes then cut em. Companies will buy one aem one to replicate it the exact same way and sell it a quarter the price with a cheaper filter just replace the filter with a better one. My 45$ intake is the same size and exact fit if not better because it reaches to my fog light and I deleted it to have a perfect air duct for it (not saying nothing negative I’d like to have an aem intake I just don’t got 300$ for it but for people need an equal alternative a cheap intake for 45$ and then buy the filter separate for 30$ is just a cheaper route that’s works just as well)

I’ve got an 04 Acura tl with the 3.2 it’s a 5 speed auto I’ve heard that hondata and k tuner does not work with the 3.5 autos is that true?
Where did you get the front license plate holder ?
What type of headlights? I want thant for my 13 TL
Those intakes are cool until you drive in the rain or flooded streets and your car will shutdown especially if it's lowered which most are
yep you’re right but if you have the fender lining cover and i also have a hydrophobic cover around it then you’ll be good

I read on Acura forums that intakes aren’t good on this car and the stock air box is best sort of like the s2k
Haven’t seen that might have to do some research

stock air box on tl outperform aftermarket intakes
They are if you have a great flowing exhaust. With gen 2 you can actually run true headers. You cant after 2003
All 04-06 manuals came stock with Acura-rebadged Brembos.

fire video bro ! need a TL on my person asap
Yes you do
What rims and tires u running?
can you show the actual ones you bought
Tune/reflash not allowed in Cali tho right? Idk tbh 😂
no clue 😂
Is there a difference between an automatic or manual tl
in terms of what ?
Performance an how it sounds

definitely the type s would beat a base TL in almost any kind of race stock for stock

high flow cat and stock mufflers only
Do you have Spacers? And are your fenders rolled?
no fenders these wheels are just wide 9.5 inch and yeah they’re rolled
