Is the best way to get the block in this position to boom down to zero degrees, have the rigger push the anti-two block up with one hand and then push the hook block up with the other and hold it there while he goes red in the face and shits himself while the operator ropes up all while he tries not to get the riggers hands caught in the sheaves or is there a much simpler and safer way?
Big Jizel, boom right up, winch up until its hard up on the under side then boom down and do the job, make sure u switch it to rhino on computer, i always tell rigger stay out of direct line of hook. And be very aware not to touch winch lever.
Hey Dude, how about doing a vid on extending Manual on 20T Franna and explain the do's and dont's, a few guys out there that blow the odd pin when tyhey go to extend them, had a look and see ya dont have a vid on this , cheers ....Yeahhhh yaaaa
Sometimes when the rigger dosnt fit the pin correctly the operator can push the boom out too fast it slips an bends the pin an it will keep happening until the pin is repaired or replaced
Always show love for your videos man, always enjoy them! With the fallblock in that position it also gives you more view when driving around. Unless you go hell slow it's gonna make a lot of noise when you winch down with out your boom up. Like you said, definitely don't want a blokes head in the way.
This is gonna sound like a dumb question, but I had a crane operator explain to me in the past how to move the joystick in the cab with your wrist or hand one or the other. He said it was million dollar advise. Whats your opinion, or can you make a video. What is the technique?
Great tips there Del. Really appreciate these videos and the way you explain things i.e. repeating key points. Thank you!
Choice my bro good info...you the man.. noticed BHP whaleback don't allow anti two blocking. All good in my eyes...it works
Some old frannas dont have that mechanism but there like 1990 versions, just make sure ur 3rd section doesnt come out
hahaha might sends this to my ol crane driver, he got me good, thank god i have quick reactions
How to do the reeving with 2 blocks on the boom would be a good video. Also how to set the wedge and saddle on the wire rope at the end of the line.
