I don't know how anyone can dislike this video and I', 100% not Excel literate and following this video using Zoho Spreadsheets instead. I had to skip two videos that didn't keep my attention nor did I understand at all until I watched this video and it save me! Not too boring, speech was clear, understandable for someone who's not literate at all and kept my attention towards the end of the video! This was actually for an emergency to see how to total my income. I never had the urge to learn Excel but this video made me want to do it now! Hope there's more tutorials so I can subscribe! Total thank you!

This site is great. I have a question about subtracting. Let's say you have a number 1000 and you want to subtract 5 cells in a column from that in one action, how would you do that? I tried it intuitively but I keep getting !Value? in the box. Thaks in advance
+Hadi Zarbafi cell A1=1000 and want to subtract from it cells A2-4 for ex in cell A5. You write in cell A5 like this -> =A1-(SUM(A2:A4)). If that's what you wanted to do.
Is it possible to lock certain cells, like the cells with text? So if multiple people are going to be using a file they can change the values in the number cells but not change the text in the cells with text in them?

you need to put a colon between the 2 so it should be =sum(B1:B5) and make sure all the cells are selected
