  • Another awesome day out diving one of New Zealands infamous wreck dives, the HMNZS Canterbury. This is a 76 min dive giving you a bit of a tour around the wreck, I found some schools of fish off the stern and lots of confused fish inside the wreck wondering what I was haha. I won't bore you with details here because Kieran is about to give everyone a history lesson on it during the video. We had amazing visibility, a little bit of a rough ride but everyone was in high spirits for their first proper wreck dive. Hope you enjoy the video guys and don't forget to like, share and subscribe :-)

Canterbury was my home on and off for 20 years sad in a way to see her like this but at least she wasn't used as a target many great memories

Have you been back since the sinking? Id say this is the best way for any vessel to continue her legacy... So many divers get so much joy out of this wreck each year its hard for me to feel sad about that but I can definitely see where you're coming from. Imagine the nostalgia swimming down them hall ways again!!!

Hi Hori, the HMNZS Canterbury at its shallowest is around 12m I believe and then at its deepest 36-38m... Pretty awesome spot for Deep and Wreck specialties or just having an awesome fun dive. Have you done any dives here r planning to?
