This is exactly the way a review should be done. Clean, extensive, clear and relaxed. You have a new sub.

@@overclockersclub lol no. I came for information, not to be entertained, and this video delivered. (Not that it wasn't entertaining!)

be quiet makes an excellent case. I have the dark base 700 since 2017 and it's still sturdy. Very well made and durable. I only had a few minor problems since then.

Hello, thank you very much for the detailed review. I bought the same case some days ago. What advantages do you see inverting the case? Did you experience meanwhile some cons inverting the case? Thank you

I have the white version, and am very happy with it. I connected the fans to the motherboard instead of using the case-fan-control.

I plan to buy such a case, is it really as quiet as the manufacturer claims?

    • @Chr1st0ph
      @Chr1st0ph 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@zaplakailol I am not sure what exactly ( decibel ) is claimed, but it is silent enough for me. I can hear the fans if I concentrate on it but I also configured the case for maximum airflow ( there are more covers if you want less airflow for less "noise" but I did not try that because I prefer to cool my hardware as much as possible )

Great that you showed an inverted build. My only concern with the inverted mode is that the rear exhaust fan is now at the bottom, and thus becomes a cold air exhaust which is not optimal. I don't know how you could get around this.

Hello. Would you recommend be quiet! Silent Base 802 or MSI Sekira 500P, as regards HDD case capacity, future upgrades and air flow especially?

This is interesting regarding the tube placement. It seems we kinda had the same idea regarding bottom tube front mount with tubes running through the hole for the hdd slots. Is this something viable to do with a 420mm? I mean, will the tubes be long enough to reach the CPU? It seems that it is certainly possible in inverted mode, but what about regular?

Do you think adding a 140mm fan to the front two fans for a total of three 140mm fans would help with cooling?

Disappointed that you cut the part of pulling that tank out of the box, it was a struggle. lol

If you are using liquid cooling put the mesh front and top panels on! The top gets hot if you don't!

i bought the solid panel version and its disapointing as it doesnt come with hd covers so when i do buy a spare glass panel ill have holes, very disappointed in be quiet for not covering hd holes with covers like they have on the glass option. I couldnt even find white ones for sale anywhere, But i i contacted be quiet and amazingly they sent me 5 pieces for 11 pounds. fantastic customer service and wasnt expecting them to make that offer. I wanted to share this outcome as its rare in my experience a company does things like this so full marks to be quiet. I now have my solid white panel case with the white inserts and am very very happy with the build quality. Itll be nearly another year till i put all the pieces together but i have my first part, the 802. Next is the 360 while corsair rad cooler, then 2tb wd m2 mvme, then a 850 white power suply. after that amd and intel should have their later offerings of 2022 out otherwise itll be a gigabyte master 570 with a 5900x and my old 1070 amp extreme will do till the 4080 comes out withouth scalpers.

Be Quiet! have always been good at customer service. I bought a Silent Base 800 back in 2014 and reversed the drive bay door. Unfortunately I put the screws in the wrong holes and went through the front door. They sent me a new door for just the postage cost. Because of that for subsequent builds, I've always bought BQ cases.

What kind of support is there for large GPUs like 4080? How to prevent GPU sag in this case?

How many and of what size fans fit in the bottoms of the case?
Edit: I just saw the manual in the video

A mesh front comes included with the case, you can swap them out. Atleast thats for europe, dont know if its the same in the US.

You first explained at the beginning of your review, how important it is to read your manuals, well have you counted how many times you have done things during this video that shows you clearly did not read the manual 🤪🤪🤪
