In blood money, you could only ever poison relevant food and drink. Here, you still need to figure out who's drinking what, and when. I love it

I like how every drink can be poisoned, it requires observations to see who drinks what so you can poison them. Very hitman like

The sheer number of paths in which you can take to complete these levels easily makes this game the best in the series
I've got a challenge for you if you'd be up for it. the "Helmut Kruger axe rampage."
Essentially you are Helmut Kruger, super-model by day, spy by night, occasional serial axe murderer, all around psychopath. You arrive late to the fashion show to find someone masquerading as you. In a psychotic rage you massacre the imposter, Victor, and Dalia. After committing the heinous crime you are spotted leaving the scene with a bloodied axe in your hands. Witnesses left reports of a madman, who was vicious, yet fabulous.

I forgot to mention this in the beta episodes, but I really like seeing you work through these levels. Its fun just seeing the level's secrets unravel.

It's very interesting to watch this series after watching your Hitman 2 series. In the sequel, you methodically plan out your moves killing only the targets. In this one, you murder near enough everyone in sight xD

nah man, you gotta think about the developers. I rather them doing it this way than no more Hitman. if there is a game suitable for this type of episodic format it's Hitman, there is so many ways to complete a mission than you chill the entire month by just experimenting around. 😂👌👍😭😱😳💪💯🍻😍❤️

love watching this dude play video games, him and nerd cubed... maybe it's because I'm not british lol, the accents just.make everything that much more entertaining... and both of them are hillarious when they play anything that involves any kind of 'engineering' 😆

The guy that freaked out on you for the overflowing sink was the bodyguard of Novikov! Novikov was then alone in the kitchen and open for sushi style killing!
I love this game! Just iron out the minor issues and it's a clear winner in my book. Can't wait for the next episode.

I don't usually watch in 720p (Third world wifi) but when I do it's for Jon.
So 40 minutes of analyzing the situation and environment, eaves dropping on conversations, learning about the targets and possible ways to kill them . . . and you just run up to them at a moment when they're alone and snap their necks. A BIT anti climatic. But now that you know the level I'm sure we'll see a couple runs of the different options.

15:49. Better idea than putting a home, make the lense a sawwed off shotgun by using only a battery and wiring the circuit to the shutter button. This way the reporter survives and gets arrested as some kind of assassin perfectly covering your tracks.
I wish 47 could just take the dress and try to blend in as a model, you would probably be instantly be found out but it would be hilarious

shadows are usually something that in most games hit performance hardest, i usually turn shadows down mainly because sharp shadows look weird.
Agreed, Im a big fan of medium instead of high shadows, as long as they are done right, so slightly blurred/faded out at the edges instead of weird very crisp straight edges. A medium shadow dont wrong is when its blocky and looks all artifacted.

Loved Hitman since codename47. In my opinion the game should have been released as a whole in the near future. This way people will end up buying double, especially with special collector's editions: I can imagine many buying this level (and maybe Sapienza too), loving it, not finding time for next episodes or carried away by another game and when full product is on disc in store in 6 months they'll just buy the whole thing. I personally will wait for full release (hoping for a nice special edition) and try not to watch the upcoming episodes, but the videos are so nice, it won't work... Which brings me to another point: For people who try to wait for full thing the makers are spoiling it by releasing what they already have, they know youtube exists... Besides all that, very nice video, I like you exploring all possibilities and taking it all in. The coins make me wonder if they are collectibles as well, or act as mere distraction stuff...

I find it rather amusing how the whole series slowly went from "You just kill people you were contracted for" to "hey you know all these guys you kill? They are actually very very bad and all of a sudden you work for governments"

I'm not too worried about that stuff. I fear it will be a daily "Kill target A with weapon B, undetected, in under X minutes" challenges, with a focus on leaderboards, rather than truly unique extra content. An official spin on the player made custom contracts of the last game, if you like. But I'm a negative nancy, so I could be wrong. Either way, I look forwards to seeing you cover more of the game.

The escalation missions are a bit more unique than kill x using y while wearing q. It's more kill x while wearing y, never pacifying anyone, hiding all bodies within 1minute also killing d while wearing b and using c and also getting an item from a safe.

+Salfordio So casual gamers have to do more than one run. Most casual gamers will do one run on the level and leave it a that, this way the casuals have no choice but to explore the level and enjoy that re-playability. It makes sense from that perspective.

+whistlz Posted this further up... I look at it like a futures contract. You, the buyer agree to pay a set price to the "seller", IO, for a product to be delivered at a later date. You have no way to know how many missions will be available to you and when, and you must hope they are worth the price you've already paid. You can't know if they're good until they come out, though. Mind, you've paid full price for a game that isn't "finished." You'll be waiting at least until the end of this year for US, Thailand and Japan missions, according to wikipedia, and then only for free if you bought the full game and not the prequel thing. A futures contract in finance is designed to protect the 2 parties. Here, it's a shady practice designed to ensure they get as much money from you now as they can, for a product they can lazily work on for the better part of a year; even then, they already have your money and have no duty to make a "full" game.

You really don't need to garrot everybody to take them out, you can actually subdue people in a nonlethal way. Not everything in this game is about killing.

this game was supposed to be released in two episodes. it was released in six lopsided episodes.
take a look at the current state of the IP, the devs and how they're no longer associated with the publisher for this game.
the problem with episodic games is that publishers and devs have multiple releases of the same game to set unrealistic targets/deadlines and fuck up multiple times.
games like 'kentucky route 0' are a good case study of why episodic gaming should be avoided.
customers tend to see episodic games as "pay to wait" while the game
is finished, even though they've paid for it already.
One thing I thought of pretty early in the video: During the briefing, why is 47 told why he is killing the target(s)? I think a real hitman wouldn't be told the reason for each hit, he would just take the money and do his job. This could lead to some interesting ethical ideas in the story.

Many A True Nerd Interesting. I'm not particularly up on the Hitman series lore, I'm just brainstorming a different game in which the silent killer protagonist is just following orders, but starts to realise through in-game events the consequences of his actions.

I absolutely despise when games require an internet connection to earn experience and unlock content. That should be a base system. Oh, you didn't connect Dragon Age to the EA servers? Enjoy trying to beat the game with the starting weapons while permanently on level one. Fuck right off. The only thing your connection should affect is getting your score on leaderboards.
Other than that disgusting mechanic, the game seems very well designed.
In the mission briefing did they mention the Delgado family from Hitman: Blood Money?

Hey there, Jon. Have you considered doing a "Less Lethal" run of Fallout 4? Basically what you'd have to do is only kill sapient life at times when you absolutely have to. For instance, you'd only kill the raiders in concord, and Kellogg in the first act.
And or the raider boss in the corvega factory. Basically, kill as few people as possible.
Had to look at the legacy trailer and yeah, the modern games are chronological sequels. As much as we can agree the game play (linear levels etc) in Absolution wasn't good, the story is apparently canon.
Will you do a kill everyone run in this level like you did with some levels in blood money? There ara many people so it should be interesting.

It's not the MI6 as when the guy was texting, he had typed "Leak the names". Why would an agent from the MI6 leak their own names? But it's definitely the client as he had also typed "No loose ends". Also, I'm now just wondering how it would be just to go with a gun in hand.

Can someone tell me if the whole ''frisking'' system is still in the game? Because in the premiere gameplay from 6 months ago, you got frisked when you wanted to go up the stairs, and you were able to conceal weapons in baskets of food aswel.

But yeah, the level is nice, does look like there is depth to it and many options, enough content to not be stale being played over and over waiting for the next episode? Not sure.
