Genius idea I like your work because your work is very clean there's is no overworking such as welding many farmers mounted tank in front of the tractor but you mounted on sides tractor also look beautiful I like your clean work and the frame of water tank attached to the tractor and the supply of water tank is just like as a factory work you are good in engineering works I am also fond of planting potatoes hope these water tank work well
For as far as those tanks stick out to the sides, it would be a great safety precaution to have some reflection on them. I would suggest front and rear.
@@RockyMountainFarmer i know seems like everyone around twin has tanks and duals i have just heard Deere has trouble sometimes i guess you will find out!
@@RockyMountainFarmer I think you will be ok. If you did not have much weight on the back I bet it wouldn’t like it. But with a potato planter on the 3 point I bet it’s fine. Not the same if you were just using the drawbar for something
What brand are those tanks and brackets. Demco? We always put our pumps close to the tanks outlets helps so you dont cavitate. I would like to visit with you in a more direct way if we could. Might have a solution for your front mount tank mount.
Your pump should be closer to the tanks on tractor and your hoses go straight to pump . If you do it that way your pump doesn't work as hard . I hope your tanks are vented .
You are going to like that tank setup. When I was still farming we put that setup on our tractor and loved them.
Yes, we are excited about using them

I’m glad you like it. We think it looks pretty nice and we’re excited to give it a try. We have never put tanks on our tractors before.

Tanks for the video
No problem 👍. Thanks for watching.
What is the small tank behind the left saddle tank? I really enjoyed another great video thanks.
We are not sure what that is used for. We’re just gonna store the bolts in it. We think it might be for a freshwater eyewash station out in the field.
Fresh water tank I didn't even think of that I'm sure your correct. Keep making great videos.
I am also waiting for the next video of the fertilizer which fertilizer do you use
I’m not sure what it’s called. Our agronomist takes care of that we just tell them how much we need.
We have brackets and tanks for sale that will fit the 8430 here in Klamath falls Oregon
We actually found a guy locally who had some used tanks he was selling but thanks for the offer.
Does the power steering struggle with front duals and a full set of weights?
We’re not sure yet we haven’t filled the tanks all the way, but I know this is what most people do so it must work, but I guess we’ll find out
@@RockyMountainFarmer i know seems like everyone around twin has tanks and duals i have just heard Deere has trouble sometimes i guess you will find out!
Yeah we will see. If it does we will take the duals off.

We got some tubes coming your way in case you have issues.
That is awesome. Thank you so much.
What’s the spacing you use on your tractor you put the duals on? 60”? Seems wider than videos I’ve seen on corn/soybean farmer’s channels.
So our duels are spaced at 36 inches for potatoes

These are lake state tanks. We are still experimenting with pump location. Send me an email about visiting
Wait spacing the the tires for the potato planter ?
36 inches
How bad did you get hit by the storm this past weekend? My brother-in-law lost power they are in the north end of IF close to Beeches corner.
We got 14 inches of snow in 24 hours and we were out of power for 30 hours
And the kids were out of school Monday.
@@RockyMountainFarmerDamn! And I complained about the 8 inches up here in the panhandle.
It was pretty bad. It was the most snow in the shortest amount of time that I can remember
@@tuberNunya don't complain about snow in the panhandle your snow pack is the lowest in the state,
Pet peeve: let’s flush cut those ties next time.
We go in flush cut all the zip ties when we’re done because sometimes we have to move stuff around
@@RockyMountainFarmer Nice! Great videos by the way. Thanks
You need a check valve to prevent the fluid from going back into the big tanks.
Yeah, we kind of decided the same thing we just had not got one yet
@@RockyMountainFarmer Just beware you can empty your siphon. You should test with low level in the tanks and stop the pump.

😊😊😊😊😊
That seems like a lot of work to install all that stuff and then remove it if y'all are going to remove that stuff.
Trust me, it’s more work to fill the planter constantly without it
1000 gallon is 8000 pounds. I guess you don't need weights eh?
We thought about taking the weights off, but when the tanks are empty, you will need them
