Quick Q: early on you mention that the COPD patient should have at least 95% saturation on oxygen. Can you explain this in more detail? According to NEWS2, the optimal saturation percentage for COPD patients who are receiving supplementary oxygen is between 88 - 92% with higher levels predisposing them to respiratory failure due to hypercapnia.
