Chasing C/2024 G3 ATLAS: Perseverance Paid Off

On January 20th, I and two photographer colleagues traveled to Paddy's Reserve to observe Comet C/2024 ATLAS. Despite arriving at the designated time, cloud cover obscured the comet's expected position. We remained hopeful and prepared our equipment, but the cloud cover intensified, forcing us to abandon the attempt.
Undeterred, I returned to Paddy's Reserve the following day and successfully photographed Comet C/2024 G3 ATLAS. The subsequent day, I photographed the comet from a hilltop at Goorooyaroo Reserve, incorporating the Canberra cityscape into the foreground. Despite windy conditions, I was again able to capture images of the comet.
These photographic sessions utilized a hydrogen-alpha modified Canon EOS R with a Benro Polaris tracker and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. A Canon R5 with a 15-35mm f/2.8 lens was used for wide-angle perspectives. Image details are not provided here. Please feel free to ask any questions.
