How to model working N scale beacons

  • In this video I'm explaining how to build working beacons for N scale locomotives.
    Beacon models I have used:
    shpws.me/JXMa
    shpws.me/JYhT
    Beacon models I have not yet used:
    shpws.me/JYbn
    shpws.me/JXQa
    Other parts:
    1kOhm Resistor at least 0.5W in 1206 package
    Warm White 400mcd LED in 0603 package (prewired)
    Connector with 1.27mm (0.05") pitch

    Ia there any way to find these lenses since Shapeways is no longer working?

      Unfortunately not no. I have looked into alternatives, but the online services Ii found didn't offer the required print resolution. Resin 3D printers like the elegoo with transparent resin might be an alternative. I don't own one and I also don't have the 3D models. It looks like the demise of shapeways took out quite an important resource of the hobby.

      @@ModularRailroading There's someone on Thingiverse offering a free stl of lenses they've made. I think there may be an online 3D printer that could print out lenses in transparent resin which I've never heard of lol thanks.
