Christmas in the Park Drive Thru | San Jose California

I was so excited to take my daughter to see the lights this year! She's 18 months and totally getting into the Christmas spirit. We purchased a ticket ($25 per vehicle) right before pulling up. There was a bit of a wait but it was not too bad considering we didn't have to get out of the car.
Once your ticket is scanned and you turn your radio to the station provided the magic begins. The music goes along with the light installation. My daughter was pointing at the lights and clapping the entire time. I think it's well worth it for the littles. I look forward to returning to see the lights in the years to come.
I don't know how this got poor reviews. We came through here this evening in two cars full of grandkids and it was awesome!! The workers were super friendly and the displays were really beautiful! It's nice to have another place to see the lights besides vasona. Which is also great but often hard to get a booking. The displays were were new and innovative. It took us a good 20-25 min to do the whole tour. So many different vignettes. I highly recommend bringing your family! We were worried after booking it to see only two stars but now that we've experienced it ourselves I have no reservation about recommending it. Pretty magical.
I love a great holiday tradition and one of my favorite things to do is go to the Christmas in the Park drive-thru! It is absolutely adorable going through the downtown history park and listening to the music and singing along with my kids. The lights and the festive feeling puts my entire family in a great mood. Pro tip- we bake Christmas cookies and make hot cocoa and enjoy them during our drive. I love coming here and I especially love that this is a great fundraiser for Christmas in the Park (the downtown location), which is a non-profit! Love that we can support the organization.
What a magical experience! The setup was so cute, and we didn't have to wait long to get in. The highlight was tuning into the local radio station to listen to Christmas carols as the synchronized lights danced perfectly to the music--it really added to the festive atmosphere.
I brought my one-year-old, and he was absolutely amazed by all the lights and music. It was heartwarming to see his little face light up with wonder. Definitely a great way to kick off the holiday season.
The drive thru for Christmas in the Park is located in history park in downtown San Jose. You have to buy your ticket for a specific 30-minute time slot in advance. We came on a Friday evening at 7:30pm and had no trouble getting in- just take Phelan all the way down and it turns into the parking lot entrance.
Most nights it's $35/car and takes about 20 minutes to drive thru once you start the drive. The lights are all synchronized to a radio station and it's a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
