I actually have two chatelaines on the go. Mushroom and fern mandala and evening in the park….i love them both!!!they are best approaches one step at a time and there are tons of resources out there!
I am doing the diagonal dish cloth patter that I had. It calls for a yarn over at the beginning of the row and when you knit it it creates an eyelet edge. I hope that makes sense
Sorry for your loss . I know the feeling when the last of the generation ahead of us passes. When it happened to me, I started to feel very emotional that now I am part of the elder generation and there is no one above me, if that makes sense. It gave me the urge to start all the things while I can as time is against me. Onto another subject before I start getting morbid...lol..I love the yarn you are showing. I used to knit a long time ago and feel inspired to try knitting some socks, even though it will take time away from my cross stitching...lol...but I am lost on where to start. Do you have any advice on where to look for a novice knitter to knit some socks. And sorry for the novel...lol

Yarn I usually find buy watching knitting vlogs…..enabled by other knitters…..socks are super fun and I have found that they add something to my crafting time!
