Love the build! Answering your question on honeymoons in America: most couples choose to go on their honeymoon right after the wedding, if they can afford to. Some couples wait until they can afford a dream honeymoon, because a lot of couples pay for the wedding themselves nowadays. So, I guess it's all up to their budget and if they have help paying for their wedding which determines how soon they go on their honeymoon.
Here in north america if a couple is going in their honeymoon, often times they are going to somewhere warm and tropical, others prefer maybe staying at a camp group closer to home (especially if they have kids) and others even go to Europe too. A honeymoon might last a couple days, it can also last a couple weeks depending where the couple is going. Some couples leave the same night, most leave a day or two after the wedding happens. It all depends on how late the wedding was too. Some couples aren't going away at all. Every one is different. Some just prefer to stay in a nice hotel in town for a couple days.

Loved the build! Its absolutely perfect. After our wedding we went on Honeymoon a couple of days later. There was some bits and bobs we had to sort out but it isn't uncommon for people to go literally the day after and stuff. I'm in the UK :)
Yep, bryllupsrejser is a thing - but it's surprisingly often not done right after the wedding.. I went on a 5 day honeymoon on an Inn here in DK, adventuring and seing I'd never seen before. But I think most Danish couples postpone the honeymoon to a later time
I love the idea of a big family home but where the family are a blended family whose parents met in Tartosa at a mutual friends wedding and spontaneously got married. And each of them have 3 kids from a previous marriage, and the kids are learning to get along. Could have a mix of both the decor of the mom whose a bit more hippy and the dad whose traditional to reflect the combination. It would be just like the movie ‘Mine, Yours, Ours’.

The state I live in here in America has islands so we took a ferry ride over to one and spent 4 days on the island and it was so nice. We only had a tiny budget of $3000 to plan a wedding and honeymoon.
