Believers in the creed of the ancients took it as a sign, as an invite from the first civilization in the universe while others saw the chance to begin anew. So humanity scattered into the void, taking courage and grit with them, leaving the depraved and the weak behind. Mankind fragmented, and so did concepts of order and morality.
In time, the ones that left found strength in their shared convictions. Factions formed in the oceans of the cosmos and leaders rose under a new order written with blood. So to keep earth safe in the ever present threat of violence, wealthy individuals concocted a dangerous pact with forces beyond their control. This secret alliance awoke a being without equal, the ultimate deterrent from the old world, the Artillery Rex.
Most were terrified at the revelation of the hidden nature of their planet while some revered the being as a god, but a descendant of the first men refused to use such an abomination. Miranda Malone, a legendary pilot known throughout space, searched for the knowledge to predict what dangers still lurked behind the shadows, however, what she found was much deeper and ominous than anyone could ever have imagined.
