I'm an electrician and been using this for a couple of months now, I was surprised how powerful it is, it's just right for me to clear up after fitting lights sockets etc. And it's small enough to be easily carried around. I've got the big Bosch class M dust ectractor and all the accessories fit the 18v one. All my tools are Bosch so I already have the 18v platform. Wouldn't be without it now.
Same here. I bought a GDE 16 Plus dust extractor for my GBH 18V-20 rotary hammer along with the vac and I was over the moon about how well they worked together. I put up some shelves in my home with it last week-end, and there was zero dust to vacuum after drilling the holes (LECA walls). As soon as I was finished, I just knew the money was well spent. I guess my PAS 18 Li will only be used for bread crumbs from now on. :)
Great review. I ordered this yesterday, I'm an electrician, so it's ideal for clearing up after fitting lights and sockets. All my cordless tools are Bosch, so I have plenty of batteries already.
Ah thanks just got mine and didn't notice the strap yet... Dust tip: have a water sprayer handy and spray the dust before you empty it I've not tried it but also as it's wet and dry maybe even suck a bit of water up maybe and possibly mix it in if it doesn't penetrate the dust.... I'll look into anti static coating as well thanks for that!
Just bought the GAS18V-3N last November. It is damn powerful for a battery powered shopvac. A little bigger than the comparable Milwaukee cordless vacuum. But, I like this more than the Milwaukee (which doesn't happen often). The built in diffuser is a really nice feature. It doesn't blow your eardrums while running. Be warned though. If you are looking to use this for more than just quick tasks, make sure you have a few 6.0ah batteries. You get roughly 4min of run time for every ah of battery capacity. Great tool and probably the best one I've bought over the last few years.
Looking to purchase a cordless vacuum for mainly a home use, to clean my car in particular, can't decide between Bosch and Milwaukee, as I have both platforms, which would you personally recommend? Thanks.
@@stanislavvovk6674 Definitely the Bosch. Its got at least the same amount of suction, better attachment management, and a built in diffuser for noise deadening. The milwaukee vacuum isn't really that bad but it will blow your eardrums after awhile and the attachment management is not the greatest.
All shop Vac getting dust outside. You can spray Static Control that could help. The Only thing what I would like to see is a small wheels under the vac. That would help if you vacuum the floors.
I've had this couple years now it's decent the on off button will snap if you're not careful I had to put some screws through the top to fix and the filter needs to be kept clean or it will stop sucking. I was actually watching this video to see how to wash the filter properly so I don't need to buy another that said this is 1st time filter has give up on me. Good bit of kit careful with the button.
Hallo Andreas, thanks a lot for this video, excellent review from Bosch Shop Vac. By the way, it’s always a pleasure to watch your videos on Sunday mornings. Schönen Tag!
Great review. just wondering if you have used it to vacuum fine dust such as plaster dust? If so, did it circulate and dust through the filter/ motor/ exhaust. How well does it perform with wet vacuuming? I assume the filter is washable given it is a wet/ dry vacuum cleaner
I have. The filter holds back even fine dust but it clogs up, of course. It’s also good with water but I would clean everything thoroughly before using it with water. Otherwise you’d have a fine mess inside with water and dust combining into a thick paste. The filter is washable, yes.
Very practical and handy, also useful to discharge the batteries before re-charging them, in case they have been stuck for a while '(now with the lithium there is no need anymore but you never know) for the electrostatic charges: I saw metal pipes attracting dust ... so there is not much to do Hi Andreas.
@@holzhandwerk_ak Thanks! I am in the UK and it appears we have 2 version of this, standard 10L and 10L Premium. The Premium version comes with castors, carry strap and a better floor attachment. I have just ordered one :-)
No. It’s battery-powered so there’s no electrical connection between the tool and the vac. For this to work, the tool would have to send a wireless signal to the vac.
Hi im in Australia and I own a Bosch 5 ah battery and was in the market for a portable vacuum. I was looking at lots of different ones and saw this one and was wondering, would this be suitable to clean my car and also pet hair? Does it have enough suction power and would it last long enough? The model we got in Australia is BOSCH 18V 10L WET & DRY VACUUM SKIN GAS 18V-10 L, so I think its the same as this one right? If you could let me know it would be much appreciated, thanks.
@@holzhandwerk_ak ok, thanks and just wondering have you ever used any other cordless vacuums to compare the suction of this one to them? We have a lot of carpet and and the car is all carpet so wondering how it does on carpet, because all the hairs stick to the carpet a bit.
On amazon. It’s not from Bosch, just a regular brush for any vacuum cleaner. Just measure the diameter of the end piece of the hose and search for a brush that fits those dimensions.
Wondering if the connector will fit most of Bosch tools. I have several 12 and 18 volt tools or do I have to buy extra connectors for that you think? 1,6 m hose? Have you tried it with a circular saw. Wondering if the hose length will be too short? Everything else you explained perfect :-)
I don’t have that many Bosch tools with a dust connector. It fits the GKT plunge/track saw. But it doesn’t fit the GKS 18V-57 cordless circular saw (whatever they thought making two circular saws with different dimensioned dust connectors). The outer diameter of the connector *on the vac* is 47 mm at the very tip. For a circular saw, the hose would be a little short in most circumstances, I think. Hope this helps.
@@holzhandwerk_ak I have bought one of these GAS -18v-10 recently based on the above information and it does not fit the Bosch Track Saw GKT Plunge/Track saw, it might fit the first 10mm of the extractor port but it falls out shortly after use. To a certain degree, yes. You might look out for Bosch’s new ProCore batteries. They are stronger and therefore make the vacuum more powerful.
