Jackie, it's Bill Cook. Kim and I are in your wonderful Panama. Flew into Cosco Viejo for a few days, now in Pedasi. Here to continue our mission to become fluent in Spanish, plus doing a small Ender mastermind. We want to thank you, Jackie, for all you've done for us, the real estate investing world, all the folks in Panama, etc. Love you so much! Bill Cook
??? what are the requirements for obtaining a visa under Friendly Nations. I understand that I can purchase real estate for at lease $200,000 but are there any other requirements if I go this route? Thanks
In my opinion, unless you plan to live in Panama at least 3+months a year, you don't need a visa. If you get a visa, you can get a panama driver's license plus you can take advantage of the Pansionado discounts, like 25% off airfare, 20% off at restaurants, 50% off at movie theaters, etc
To answer your question, there are hospitals in Panama City that see US Veterans, and medical and dental clinics in Panama are pretty cheap. In Public Hospitals, you pay almost nothing.
I suppose it would be good to live in Panama but if i live there as a permanent resident, i will lose my government pension so my only option is to stay where i am.
I think you got some bad information. It is very unlikely that you will lose your pension just because you get residency and live in Panama. (You are not getting citizrnship)
@@rosejackson7583 I'm on disability support pension and the Australian government won't give a life-time pension if i want to become a permanent resident of Panama.

Why do you think you will lose your government pension? This is the first I've heard of this.
