Helen Zille: Ramaphosa Stays, Phala Phala Irrelevant

  • According to Helen Zille of the DA, they won’t vote to impeach Cyril Ramaphosa, who is plagued by corruption scandals, even if the Phala Phala matter is raised again in Parliament. She made this statement in an interview with 702's Clement Manyathela.
She further stated that this decision was part of their agreement with the ANC, and unless new evidence of criminality involving Cyril emerges, the DA will not support any motion to impeach him.

How can you join hands with your colonizers? They are going to deal with you for the last time and with firm policies. If south Africans sit back and relax for this malmove, they will never retain their major concern"land".
The country of SA must also strengthen the teaching of history from 1652 ,both at home and at school .Some youths have blank minds about how the whites came to exist in SA.They are not exotic south Africans, not indigenous SAs.How can they govern it.Why were they apartheiding if they liked the real black south Africans?

That was a really an excellent interview with HZ and gave a lot more clarity on the next five years ahead. HZ made some great points about sufficiency of consensus agreements between the DA & ANC co operation . Clearly the make or break test in the next 5 years will be sorting the current dysfunctional local government coalitions and stabilizing them to be sustainable and predictable. I disagree with the HZ statement that the ANC lost a lot of support because of the NHI bill , the ANC electorate clearly realized service delivery is a failure and so is high unemployment rates . The real reason the ANC only scraped the barrel home with 41 % is because Zumas MK party canabilised the ANCs entire Zulu support base in KZN by going underground and hijacking ANC machinery to capture disillusioned ANC voters. The problem remains that the disillusioned anti - Ramaphosa faction remaining in the ANC are deeply divided on hearing about the talks between the ANC and DA on the GNU . Some are biding their time so they can defect to the MK party which will create a crisis for the GNU. The current ANC is clearly busy crumbling after all the divisive battles and the leadership struggles , people realize that Jacob Zumas MK party which is one of patronage and populism will increase gradually because its based on ethnic Nationalism a condition that Western liberal parties clearly don't understand and the real popularity of Jacob Zuma.
