I am a confirmed Catholic, who was reared in the Church. I heard about the Charismatic Renewal in the late seventies, and was interested in the freedom of expression it provides. I was touched by the Holy Spirit on a Palm Sunday, after Mass, realizing I was Peter in my denial of Christ, by my lifestyle. I went home and wept for sorrow for my sins, and for joy at His presence in my life. The gift of tongues was given to me later. It was a great blessing. I don't push it onto others, but when I see the elevation of the Blesses Sacrament at Mass, I spontaneously whisper in whatever prayer language, I was given. It's total reverence, and I an internal witness to his Real Presence in the Eucharist! I also love the more traditional means of receiving the grace of God. Rosaries, novenas, medals and especially Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, are a beautiful gift from the Lord. There are many ways to express our love for Jesus. I would love for us all to recognize that God calls us to worship Him in the way that most authentically moves us to sanctification, and holiness.

I am a recent convert and a former ordained Pentecostal Minister. I pastored for nine years. I love the fullness of the Sacraments and the truth of sanctification found in the Catholic Church. Some of the things in the charismatic movement come from the kundalini spirit and that is a real concern. We cannot seek manifestations. The movement of the Spirit must be tempered by the local bishop and his priests. I love the wisdom that y'all shared.

‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God given ability effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy, nor is it modern tongues-speech.

I'm so sad listening . Pope John 23rd brought this in in the sixties, but didn't filter down.
I understand some of what your saying.Howerev my experience has been so positive Before I only knew qbout God now I know God as my Savior. Why are our children after first communion don't return to church . Something is missing same with conformation, Are we not to be joyful . Most people come out of mass looking miserable do we meet Jesus in the Eucharistic....it is a current of Grace, Sadly being suffocated, no wonder people are leaving
Please Father's pray to Holy spirit about this
