I'm confused, when I arrive from Brisbane do I just proceed to Departure Area to go to Bangkok. Or do I have to go through Arrival and Security first before I transfer to departure
You can proceed directly to the departure gate if you have a ticket on the same airline. You don't have to go through Arrival and Security first before you transfer to departure.
Good video to show the entire journey from T1 to T3. Would you mind telling us approximately how long this entire journey takes? This would help me in choosing a flight that has sufficient layover time for the transfer.

Can I collect my luggage at SIN airport and board another flight without immigration check? Or Do I have to go through immigration check at SIN airport for self transfer? I have 2 different PNR flight tickets. I have to take boarding pass again at Singapore airport.
If you will take boarding pass again at Singapore airport. I think you have to go through immigration check at SIN airport for self transfer. for visa This isn't usually required, but it's best to check with the Singapore embassy or consulate first.
If you plan to go down town by MRT. You need to checkout immigration to public area. Then you have to check in again if you have a connecting flight to take.
