Hey hyrule gamer it just popped into my mind Just giving You guys the heads up I'm sadly really behind on everything withe tears of the kingdom stuff but I was watching one of the trailers and I was thinking about fi And how the haircuts looked and how it is known that she goes back in time What if breath of the wild princess zelda was turned into fi for skyward swordheads up
Hookshot/clawshot arm is really the one thing I want. I know that some version of item was considered for BOTW but not included because the mobility was a little too crazy, so I kinda doubt it would happen but I’m still hoping.
2:05 In terms of underwater exploration, I could easily see the developers add the face mask of the Zora tunic from Twilight Princess when diving underwater to the Zora set from BotW.
I’m still hoping that underwater will be part of this game, or at least a underwater dungeon, if not I’ll still be happy either way, just a small wish, would love to have some kind of ability to swim underwater. Even if it’s a new outfit that let Link swim underwater 🙏🏻🤞🏻
For the torch idea, I believe it might be better to have a sort of echolocation or sonar type of ability, where link can kind of scan his surroundings and see what enemies, objects, or pois are around him. This way it could be used in multiple scenarios, and not just the underground.
I believe that the underground will be a big part of the game, both in story and in size. Even if it might only be useful underground, it might just be that underground is simply big enough for it to be justified
We have seen an empty slot in the ability wheel, I think it is _most likely_ an ability focused on traversal convenience. The Master Cycle was essentially the fifth Rune of BotW, and in a similar way it just made your life more convenient. We have confirmation the Travel Medallion is a basegame thing so I think the game having a Master Cycle equivalent makes sense. Wild prediction: -It will be the ability used to seal Ganon by the hand's original owner, so Link learns it when he learns of how the hand sealed Ganondorf, and it works like a forward-moving grasp -It consumes battery energy to use -Link can use it targeting surfaces to jump towards that surface and start climbing it. From his initial grasp of that surface he can do a dramatically enhanced climbing jump that uses battery instead of Stamina. He can loop this in tandem with regular climbing to make climbing much, much faster and stronger -Link can also use this in combat while locked on to enemies to dash and get closer In endgame, when your battery levels are super high, Ultrahand vehicles and teleportation will probably outpace climbing as a movement method. This would help close the gap again
4:12 dont let him cook, he just looked at that concept art and picked the hammer instead of the hook shot. ANYONE who passes up the hookshot is insane, not to mention the game has hammers.
I think the flight would be the least possible thing and the fuse basically allows you to make hammers already. I'm not sure what other ability could be in that seventh slot though and the other ideas seem pretty interesting and possible. My only idea is like, maybe a way to spawn temporary platforms in the sky or something. Similar to Cryonis but air based.
If you watched the gameplay vids, there was a puzzle that involved draining a pond to get a chest at the bottom of it. If there is some form of underwater exploring, I’d say it’d be via a vehicle. Like a makeshift sub. Also, historically, water levels are usually the least fun in games. Especially Nintendo games, lol.
I mean, BotW had the champion abilities as a reward for progressing, so assuming those probably aren't returning, I think it's a safe bet they have some sort of unlockable abilities that they're hiding from us.
I want underwater exploration so much, but I totally get the challenge that the BOTW world faces by adding it. In the current game world, water serves as pretty tedious obstacle. You pretty much have to get creative to pass large bodies of water. The new game seems to lean into that even further… you have to build a boat, or a flying machine, or cross a bridge with a massive dragon on it… just to get past any number of big bodies of water. I feel like super fast or even underwater traversal would “break the game” in a similar way to how a hook shot would have “broken” BOTW. Unless there are unique challenges in EVERY body of water, even the tiny ones.
I feel like a Zonai hookshot or whip like the one in SS could function really well in TotK, maybe even able to hook onto and swing from anything you aim it at
I would love underwater traversal but right now I doubt which makes me sad but we’ll see. But I think that last ability is a descend it’s right next ascend and it could be you use it at the malice points and it’s the only way to access the underground which is why there is no underground map during the preview cause you unlock it later in the game Edit: maybe you can use it to access underwater caves
I have my doubts that any of these will come true, but they are all really cool ideas, and I can't wait to see what this mystery ability turns out to be when the game comes out!
a lot of these could also work well as “dungeon items” you get at completion of or partway through a dungeon, like in past zelda games. or like champion abilities, which activate automatically when you have them equipped. this would work especially well for things like diving and dark vision, since that way you wouldn’t have to manually turn on the hand ability when you’re in a situation that needs that
My best guess is a Daruk's Protection style shield - late game reward for sure, or major reward for completing major section of the game. It would have multiple uses. Of course it would be a shield, but it would be limited to a few blows. I'm thinking it can only withstand as many blows as remaining charged batteries. So 4 batteries = four hits before it's burnt out. The shield itself also draws power, so it wouldn't last just holding it out forever. But THEN, it would also form a bubble around Link that would enable him to walk through water unhindered on the bottom as long as the shield remains up (maybe with some goofy fall to the bottom animation if the ability is triggered while Link is treading water). Perhaps the power drains much slower when underwater, but would still lose a whole battery if struck by an underwater enemy. When the power runs out, Link is now swimming, and would need to breath or take damage (IE use the Ascend ability to surface ASAP). It'd be a very cool use of the hand. Purely defensive (can't fight with the shield out), but also allow for underwater exploration if/when needed.
Maybe the missing power in the empty wheel of zoni powers is the ability to swim underwater or breathe underwater or maybe it makes a zoni energy scuba tank and combined with the Zora armor link would be able to swim with Sidon.
A part of me wants the camera sensor to come back. I loved starting my play throughs like a free roam Pokémon snap and finding all the areas with the highest concentration of my favorite food, weapon, whatever! Gotta get that perfect photo of a lynel!
If i know Nintendo the last ability would mostly likely be DLC either bringing back the master zero cycle but with more capabilities than before. Or something new that we could never excepted to be dlc. On the other hand "See what i did there?" It could be a ability that is only unlocked when going against Ganondorf and is like the same ability that sealed ganondorf.
From the screenshot, it almost looks like there'll be a total of eight abilities. Maybe this game will have only four dungeons that'll each give out new abilities, and the four we saw in the gameplay presentation are just the ones available from the start. Similar to how BOTW had the four Sheikah Slate abilities available at the start, and the four Champion abilities made available by clearing the Divine Beasts. Though, if these dungeon abilities are assigned to the hand similar to Recall, Fuse, Ultrahand, and Ascend, they may be abilities you're likely to use far more often. It would probably make the most sense to have these other abilities almost be based on the BOTW concept art, where we see Link's hand becoming the Beetle, a hammer, and a grappling hook (that looked more like a traditional grappling hook than a Clawshot).
I'm sure somebody else has said this, I can't be the the first to think of it, but every time I see those amber bulbs in the roots in the underground, I think it, and I haven't heard it mentioned. Those bulbs look just like the amber Zelda was in, to stay in suspension from the distant past in Skyward Sword. I think there's at least a decent chance that Zelda has somehow traveled to the past, again, and she, as well as the other sages/champions/whatever from that era, have been sealed in amber, deep beneath Hyrule, awaiting the Hero if the Wild to release them. That would be why she said "find me" in the trailer - she doesn't mean "find me in this rather easily accessible spot on the Great Plateau"; she doesn't mean "find me in the past"; she doesn't mean "find me far up in the sky". With so many ways to fly, and the ascend ability, there will be some challenges in making our way up some Skylands, but the main challenge of this game will be working our way down, into the depths of Hyrule. Deep below, we will find truly ancient sages, suspended in magical amber, nourished by the roots of trees. Or, maybe, they are in the depths of the Skylands, nourished by the roots of the special golden trees, which grow only there. And in one of these, we will find Zelda, suspended in amber, where she went, to wait out the centuries, after saying "find me".
I would love to have a horse whistle ability but for a vehicle. Like a plane that you edit and store in a slot. That actually may be what the purple ability on the bottom right of the ability wheel is. I think zeltik said he got to use it during the demo and that it makes it easier when using godhand but he wasn’t allowed to say anything further. Maybe you set a certain set of pieces like a floor, wheels, fans, and a battery and you get auto assemble
I hope there is at least one other one. Ultrahand is a puzzle ability, but doesnt affect combat. Fuse indirectly affects combat but isnt combat related. You could use all of BOTW abilities in combat, but none so far for TOTK, reducing the creativity in TOTK as how are you supposed to interact with the environment as much? Recall is the only one that I can think of. Ascend for one boss at least, by being able to get on top of the block boss. But again, that isnt an attack or attack support. An example in BOTW is cryonis for making ice to block enemy attacks or lift enemies off the ground. Magnesis to grab some items and bash enemies with them. Statis on the enemies themselves or I saw one guy cut down a tree and stasis it, then knock it into the enemy. So I think they need at least one more ability that allows for interacting with the environment that can also be used in combat.
Yesterday we played some Too Many Bones, I was playing the mech character Gasket and my bf was playing the bot builder Tink. And since my mind wanders to this game basically all of the time I drew several similarities (where there might be none) but then it struck me: One of the abilites might indeed be turning your Zonai creations/constructs into bot allies. I mean they already show off in the trailers that the other champions will fight with you (in their respective segments; something that annoyed me a lot during BOTW that those segments had them not fight). So apparently the neccessary mechanics are already programmed into the game.
For the underwater idea, what if you get a descend ability that let's you go (safely) down; and what if you have to come up with your own iron boots by fusing heavy materials to your gear... that does not really make sense since the material would be heavy inside your inventory as well but that would be typical Nintendo game logic. It is equally possible that we could simply create crude submarines with ultra-hand and just need ascend to safely return to the surface.
Well, in skyward sword, they didnt show you the full wheel of tools until after you got all of them. It could be that way in totk too. Everytime you get another ability after the "main" ones it just adds another slot to the wheel
The 2 biggest things I want are is at least a Zonai Hook/Clawson ability to make Explorwtion that much more fun and snappy, and even if it's in post game or DLC I want Lofteings to return. If not Loftwings themselves, then some sort of mastercycle type contraption made by the Zonai that represents a Loftwing. I know the Birdgliders with rockets already sorts fill that roll but I'd just love some sort of callback to those awesome birds and more free traversal for completing the game
This is an insane idea but I'd like an ability that lets you morph into any type of creature (maybe just basic ones though and not bosses) and this is essentially just to blend like like how botw had the masks from Kilton.
I like this kind of video, because I do have my share of ideas for Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Zonai abilities that would be arguably worth implementing! One was a descend ability, which is not the same as ascending and not popping out where it takes you! Another ability I would suggest would be a cut ability, so you can cut ice platforms you make to make an ice block since that ability is lost in the sequel. Also, yes, I would like to see a water breathing ability and it wouldn't be that different from the one the Water Sage gives you in the sequel. Another ability would be a confuse ability and a blind ability which would be tied to a circle meter, most likely, possibly. Lastly, I would like to see a Command ability, which would make it possible to give orders to sage avatars or even wild animals like deer, wild pigs, or a bear!
I hope that we get like items to help like maybe yeah we probably won't get any more abilities but maybe with fuse we can "get more abilities" like maybe the next ability in the slot is to actually like take properties of items and add it too link so maybe we can float or breath under water and maybe we can get like a fruit or something that have a vine and act like a hook shot like that'd make sense to me and it could be to swing from islands or trap enemies
I still think a post-game reward of a Loftwing would be fun. I just think Loftwings were so cool but SS's Sky was empty and you could fly around any other areas.
Adding to the flight ability you mention, there is the wing glider thing seen in the latest (and greatest) trailer which could allow for some semi-flight in the sky
I've seen so many people completely blank on the fact BotW had additional abilities through Rune upgrading and armours. Its nice you're touching upon the subject. I suspect the gravity jumps (as seen in the trailer) is a Rito ability (Roc's feather), and Zora armour will be back, so maybe that will be the source of swimming. If Gloom is a thing, an armour may exist to light your way. And please, give me Goron armour that lets me roll up like a Goron and move through lava ala Majora's Mask! Also give us a Hookshot that lets us only hook onto certain chests or trees ala the 2D Zelda's.,
Finally someone says it! An endgame flying ability, this would be a reference to Ghiblis Howls moving Castle! Bravo sir Bravo, i posted this theory on reddit and it got shot down by people hard lol
i would love to see underwater dungeons or just for exploring, finding coral or just new fish the deeper you go. unfortunely i dont think its in the game. this would be soooo cool though since there could be underwater caves with big pockets with some enimies or koroks. but im sooo exited for this game ahhhh i cant wait to see gameplay videos and to play myself!!!!
Free flying is way too OP. Unless there is a limit to how long you can do it. But I would like a special function that allows you to access Champion powers (or something alike).
Remember how the champions gave us powers after defeating each Devine beast I wonder if we will get any powers like those again but different for the new game
Actually thinking about it that's unlikely, that would not even make sense given this isn't a device, besides the camera caused magor problems that still aren't pached with botw like the sport orb dupe
@@gintozlato1880 yeah gotta agree It would be weird if link’s arm turned into a camera or something, I doubt it’s a camera slot. Maybe it can be something that can help you summon an item or a person.
Ganondorf: HAHA! I have corrupted the legendary Master Sword, now no weapon can stop me! Link: *Pulls up on an ultrahand made tank with his arm in the shape of a gigantic hammer* Ganondorf: Shit, my bad, I'll lower the castle no problem
Like alot of people we want to see under water swimming being in the game but from what i have seen in the trailers and game play its doubtful ! but good to see your thoughts on this game
this is something i’ve been thinking about, but in oot, and other zelda games, there’s a water temple in lake hylia right? in botw’s lake hylia, there’s a crater with a sheikah shrine, correct? i thought that the water temple was appropriated into that sheikah shrine, but what if the crater opens up in totk and allows you to explore under lake hylia? maybe the water temple makes a return?
Had an idea were the last power would be the master sword thuse making it not possable to fuse stuff to the master sword . but if I voulf ha e it be anything I really want a transformation like Fierce deity but zoni version . a zoni claw shot make a lot of sense too
I would of preferred a massive DLC expansion for Breath of the Wild similar to Xenoblade Chronciles 3 Future Redeemed so then it the wait for the next new Zelda game wouldn't have been such a long time
Well... IMO, a flying ability would be way to OP. This may kill the joy of overcoming obstacles to get to new and unexplored areas. This is not something I am looking forward to.
It would expand exploration, ONLY if it isn’t as shallow as it is on the land… Exploration in BOTW was disappointing to say the least… All it amounted to was to discover yet another shrine… ugh…

Torch hand ability: link cracks his knuckles and pops his elbow and they light up like a glowstick.
I’ve seen a symbol like the ultrahand but with foot, some youtuber called it ultrafoot and speculated to be the jumping on the moon like ability
Underwater will probably involve a specific armor set rather than a hand ability. That's usually how it goes with Zelda games.
Also give us a Hookshot that lets us only hook onto certain chests or trees ala the 2D Zelda's.,
I am so ready to use my hand as a torch. 🔦
I wish you have an ability to build rubber bands and give them as gifts to NPC.
Finally someone says it! An endgame flying ability, this would be a reference to Ghiblis Howls moving Castle! Bravo sir Bravo, i posted this theory on reddit and it got shot down by people hard lol
I can’t believe how close we are to totk
Yooo! I had the same flying idea! I know it’s wishful thinking, but I want it to be end/post game or maybe even part of a dlc
that green gloop i think we might want to start calling it green glue seen as it holds things together at least till we find out the real name of it
i would love to see underwater dungeons or just for exploring, finding coral or just new fish the deeper you go. unfortunely i dont think its in the game. this would be soooo cool though since there could be underwater caves with big pockets with some enimies or koroks. but im sooo exited for this game ahhhh i cant wait to see gameplay videos and to play myself!!!!
This aged like milk
I want to see a fight or at least a sighting of Shadow Link. I'm kinda obsessed with the guy right now.
Free flying is way too OP. Unless there is a limit to how long you can do it. But I would like a special function that allows you to access Champion powers (or something alike).
Remember how the champions gave us powers after defeating each Devine beast I wonder if we will get any powers like those again but different for the new game
Just started the video, and I’m gonna watch it, cause you’re awesome, but I bet the last slot is just a camera lol 😂
Lol you're right 😂
Actually thinking about it that's unlikely, that would not even make sense given this isn't a device, besides the camera caused magor problems that still aren't pached with botw like the sport orb dupe
@@gintozlato1880 yeah gotta agree It would be weird if link’s arm turned into a camera or something, I doubt it’s a camera slot. Maybe it can be something that can help you summon an item or a person.
In b4 the last ability is Descend and you get it late game to access Ganondorf's layer.
Hey! This was a great idea video. Where did that clip come from of Link shooting the light up flower? I don't remember that in the latest trailer
Can’t wait to to make a jet to kill gleeok
Hahahahaha... fr tho
If where was underwater diving and free flying then this would be the game where the player has the most freedom
It has been confirmed that it is the camera rune that is in that spot
Puzzles in the form of redesigned shrines. Gotta have them.
Ganondorf: HAHA! I have corrupted the legendary Master Sword, now no weapon can stop me!
Link: *Pulls up on an ultrahand made tank with his arm in the shape of a gigantic hammer*
Ganondorf: Shit, my bad, I'll lower the castle no problem
don't think underwater/diving stuff will be in the game simply because you never see a diving control input when link is swimming around
loving all these totk videos, can't wait for even more after the game is out!!
"What if we got the hammer ability"
Hammer already in the game "am I a joke to you"
free flying would be a dream come true 😭😭
Legit so stoked to have a go go gadget arm
Its always a good day when HG uploads!
I’ve thought about it and after 6 years there better be underwater exploration…there’s no way there won’t be underwater exploration!!
I think it is not in the game sadly.
Imagine if the mystery slot is just the camera rune
I wonder if we’ll get some kind of champion abilities separate from the wheel or added onto it like in botw
I’m hoping for loftwings to make a return somehow.
I'm not sure what we're going to get, but the recent previews have convinced my nephew, who is not a Zelda fan, to get the game day 1
Like alot of people we want to see under water swimming being in the game but from what i have seen in the trailers and game play its doubtful ! but good to see your thoughts on this game
We are 100% getting a loftwing or a flying mount equivalent.
I think the secret ability will be a purify ability. to cleanse malice or some other corruption
Bro I kept waiting for you to call it a torch or flashlight but then remembered that non-americans actually call 🔦 a torch 😂
Thinking about it ..why would they put an animation for link swimming with his hands together and just use it for Ascend?
Do you guys think Link will use the ultra hand in the post game to get freaky with Zelda
I wonder if the Zelda Team has already started working on Potential DLC for this Game?
I’m so hyped I can barely wait
I really want the hookshot, but here's a thought, what if the ability is for cleaning up Malice goop?
this is something i’ve been thinking about, but in oot, and other zelda games, there’s a water temple in lake hylia right? in botw’s lake hylia, there’s a crater with a sheikah shrine, correct? i thought that the water temple was appropriated into that sheikah shrine, but what if the crater opens up in totk and allows you to explore under lake hylia? maybe the water temple makes a return?
I think the last ability could just be the camera or something
My wish is very simple. I just want the ability to pet the domesticated animals around Hyrule 🥺🐾
They should have the player summon a loftwing by using a loftwing amiibo
Yeah, how great to lock an entire gameplay mechanic behind a $30 piece of merch
If all Link's abilities weren't shown off, will it be exciting experience them... FIRSTHAND? I'm so original.
A Spanish journalist leaked the new ability.
Had an idea were the last power would be the master sword thuse making it not possable to fuse stuff to the master sword . but if I voulf ha e it be anything I really want a transformation like Fierce deity but zoni version . a zoni claw shot make a lot of sense too
I'm hungry for more Koroks.
Yahaha!
Oh...
I love how just flat out wrong most of us were about what we'd see when the game came out. game designers we are not.
Who else got the zelda switch oled
ME!
I did🎉
I wish. I had to pay almost $200 just to secure the collector's edition game lol
I got the OLED!
@Hyrule Gamer
I'm happy you got one brother!!! Enjoy and keep up the great content. 👍
I would of preferred a massive DLC expansion for Breath of the Wild similar to Xenoblade Chronciles 3 Future Redeemed so then it the wait for the next new Zelda game wouldn't have been such a long time
big deal you can use the active shiekah slate ability cryonos as a torch provided you don't try useing it
Maybe an underground digging machine
Well... IMO, a flying ability would be way to OP. This may kill the joy of overcoming obstacles to get to new and unexplored areas. This is not something I am looking forward to.
i pray there will not be swimming underwater, im a little baby
It would expand exploration, ONLY if it isn’t as shallow as it is on the land…
Exploration in BOTW was disappointing to say the least…
All it amounted to was to discover yet another shrine… ugh…
