Thanks for the video.... i came looking for what that lower handle does. Ive a used zafira and its a bit stiff these days but im loving the space. I would agree that its a great car except that a friend recently got a used Chrysler Voyager... and wow.. 5 seats in that disappear into the floor!!! Its the most gorgeous thing ive seen.. dang .. so if someone is reading this while thinking of getting a zafira then ooof do look at the Chrysler first. Im still happy tho mainly cz mine is subsequently s few engine sizes smaller and better for costly fuel while still giving me 7seats /large space. Im a little jelous but ok i still love my zafira. Thanks.. regards

The upright 2nd row seat in the forward position, as shown, creates a very useful van like configuration but there are quite a few more seat permutations. The middle row seats will fold down to create a longer estate, unfortunately with a lip. In this configuration the front seat will also rotate backwards (and go flat if the 3rd row head restraint is also removed) to create a very long (2.5m+) loading space alongside the driver for doors, worktops, pipes etc.
The 3rd generation zafira tourer eliminates the lip in the long estate configuration.
Vauxhall have stopped making MPVs in favour of SUVs.

Cheers. So easy when you know how. I can see how come you're missing a handle though, coz I snapped mine trying to pull it back up after. Still, well chuffed with it now I can see all the potential space - could even curl up and have a kip in the boot if it came to it (and I'm 6ft 3)

that happens a lot, the clips are cheap and easy to get on ebay, they take seconds to fit.

Yep the pull handles are a common problem , very cheap and easy to replace though 👍🏼

I've just purchased one..........how would you fold the middle 3 seater? Apparently you can fold it over so the head rest goes right down to the floor?

Mine doesn't move forward the handle appears to move very slightly but feels like I'm going to break it

Could try some lubricant (wd40) failing that may need try your local garage to have a look
