I have a 2009 v6 limited.I bought it from my aunt who purchased it brand new . I paid 7k ,and at the time it had about 65k miles . I got it as a daily, but this mini suv has turned out to be an amazing fast reliable vehicle. I have nothing but good things to say about it .
Hey, I wanted to thank you: your vid was one of the best vids I saw to give me the confidence to take the plunge on a 2008 RAV4 Limited AWD V6. Plus, I managed to get one with the rare THIRD ROW that stows away so I can have the row or all that storage space when it stows away! Can't thank you enough! I'm on the adventure! Can't wait to get it dialed in for its first trip!
Thanks for the excellent video .... I bought the 2006 (the first year in Gen 3 - 2006-2012) to convert to a campervan ... cause I love extra space to go backroading. Removed all seats, built a platform bed, added a Thule (for my 60 second cabin popup to use as a livingroom screen) & added the new 360 Bouge cigs glued 100w solar panel on top, cigs technology is not glass & even works in shade!) ... have 2 power banks and just new ecoflow first ever solar-battery powered, portable ac/heater ... I invented my own plastic sink w/grey water ... and of course, a cassette toilet. Going Full-time North America travel next month ... solo at 68. Until I want to stand up ... and trade in for a high top. Cant wait to goooooo!! ❤
I love my 2008 V6 Base AWD. I bought it used in 2010 from a dealer for $17K with 24,000 miles on the odometer and it's the best car purchase I've ever made. I have over 192,000 miles on it now and it is our road trip vehicle. Best fuel economy I ever got was 27 mpg on our trip from NJ to Florida with 3 people and all of our luggage for the week. As for the side opening rear door, I love it mainly because I have a rooftop box that opens from the rear so with the rear door swung open to the side and out of the way I can step up to the rear of the car and have very easy access to the box. In fact we plan to take it on our 2-week long trip 4 different states with a rooftop box and 4 bikes.
I have a 2007 RAV4 limited V6! I absolutely love my little truck! I got it with 68,000 miles and now I have 145,000 miles and she is still going strong!
I recently got an AWD 2007 limited with the v6, with the intention of over landing/ exploring mountains with. It’s A LOT cheaper than a 4 runner, In both upfront cost and fuel, and you got much more technology with less rust for the money. The V6 is a lot of engine for this light car- so fun to accelerate and I’ve managed to get ~22-23 MPG when driving gingerly. I just ticked over 160,000km or 100,000miles. Have lots of maintenance planned and I’m itching to put a 2, maybe 3 inch lift on it. The rav4 is a pretty awesome vehicle, roof racks, locking diff, tons of power, Toyota reliability, fender flares give decent looks, and I even have the upgraded JBL sound system that bumps!
Back in 2015, I tracked down a lightly-driven, single-owner (lease return) 2012 RAV4 Limited V6 with 23K miles. The torque provided by the 3.5 liters V6 engine and the Goldilocks (just right) size of this vehicle makes for an ideal road-tripping and camping rig for me. I've put on 100K (both on-road and off-road) since my purchase, and I've had zero issues with the engine, transmission, or electrical system - it's truly a rock-solid SUV. I'm fairly certain that I'll surpass the 280K mileage limit that I was able to reach with my former 1995 Acura Legend.
Love my 2011 RAV! Not as attractive as I'd like, but it makes me smile when I'm buzzing past people or need to move quickly. That 6 cylinder engine launches the car like a bullet and its sooo reliable, so versatile. I hope it lasts forever😊 ❤ 😊❤
Just bought my 2010 RAV4 V6 sports awd with 60,000 miles one owner. I live in the northeast and I’m flying down Sunday to Virginia to pick it up, can’t wait!
As A Virginia resident I will confirm that the Toyota Rav4 has been the most popular vehicle in Virginia since the 2000's, mainly because Virginia is the furthest point north in the south that actually gets a snow or 2 in the winter and freaks out over the chance of snow, so everyone wants a crossover AWD car instead of a sedan.
I have a 2011 V6 3 liter 4wd Limited with a tow package. I love this car so much! I bought it with 200k miles and the engine was pristine. I am at 278+k miles now. I live in Michigan and drove it to California, then Washington state, back to California, and then back to Michigan loaded down with luggage and (on return trip) with a table strapped to the roof. In all that driving, I did not have one problem. I am considering upgrading to a Sequoia to be able to haul a trailer, but I love this car.
Got mine pretty much new in 2011 with all of 7500 miles on it. Limited V6 and the tow prep package & sunroof. Put a trailer hitch on it as well. Have towed with it it, carry my canoe on the roof rack, done many road trips. Now have about 172k miles on it but been putting in full syn oil since day one. Do all the other maintenance myself. Still accelerates hella fast. Really love the car and will keep driving it into the ground.
aGREED!!!! THIS IS GREAT... I didn't even know about these til a few days ago.. I always loved the design of the RAV but never bought one because I can't stand something that is so underpowered you can't get on the freeway without sounding like it's going to fly apart. I found out about this and have found SEVERAL already for me to go CHECK.. :) They're GREAT!!!!
Hi, I'm in the UK, Love your vid and totally agree with everything you said. I have the 3rd gen RAV4 2.2 D4D, absolutely love it, In fact I have had the MK 1 RAV and the MK2 RAV, Best cars ever, But my MK3 I have had now for 7 years NEVER any issues and it has passed every MOT test with no advisories. Best wishes Shaun,
I just purchased 2010 v6 omg so fast and I like the visibility u have too the way you sit it’s awesome. I have driven the turbo Mazda Cx50 this blows it away your not scrunched inside and it’s faster too
I have a 2007 Rav4 sport with the V6. Bought it new and have 66000 miles showing on odometer.. One issue i had was we needed a new charcoal canister due to me filling the gas tank to the brim forever so dont do that if you don't want an 800 dollar repair bill. Otherwise best vehicle we ever owned. Oh it definitely is a pocket rocket
I recently bought a 2011 Toyota RAV4 sport with 98,000 miles the truck recently reached 100,000 miles and runs perfect. I love the power in the V6 engine.
I have a 2012 rav4 v6 with 95k miles. Very sleeper of a suv! I am coming from a Mercedes GLC43 AMG! I junked the Mercedes when it developed transmission problems! I picked up the rav4 and it is surprisingly quick off the line and highway speed. I have raced Infiniti G37, Q50, Mercedes c450, Range Rover sport, Toyota tundra (twin turbo model) Toyota sequoia twin turbo version, y Lexus is350 newer one, Lexus es350, Toyota Camry, Subaru sti, Honda accord V6, accord 2.0T, ford explorer ST, Toyota Prius prime, ford F150 raptor, bmw 535 series, BMW 330 series and many more and beaten them all!! The only car that beat me was a Hyundai ionic 5? (I can’t remember the model) took me by a car length from a dig. I have beaten Audi also and the question is is the 269 hp the actual HP or was mine tuned? The exhaust is stock and it is seriously fast. I raced a Porsche I can’t remember the model and I took him by two cars length. I will keep it forever. I have had all service done except for the spark plugs. Now at 113k miles. I love to drive it. Never going back to Mercedes piece of trash again! Mine comes with all options including navigation, Bluetooth, sunroof and leather seats. Limited version!
I had a 2006 RAV4 Sport it had the oil burning 2.4 engine. Eventually I gave it to my son. It now has over 220K miles and he takes it EVERYWHERE! He loves it! It has been burning oil for at least half those miles and still going strong. I now have a 2012 Limited with 89K like new miles. It has the 2.5 engine and has way more power than it needs. I put very off road type tires on it, the Cooper Discoverer AT3. They are load on the highway, but I love them. You can't kill those old RAVs.
Picked up a 2007 Rav4 V6 this year for $1K because it had several issues that prevented it from passing inspection, $800 later doing it all myself it was road worthy and best purchase I've made, it is quick, reliable, smooth and if you are easy on it that big 3.5L V6 AWD can get 26-27 mpg on the highway!
I just bought a 2010 Rav V6 4wd base model with 146,000 miles and was quite surprised with this car. The previous owner neglected some things but I'm slowly fixing it up. For $4,400 USD I can't really complain, especially when you mention they're going for between $7k to $15k.
I bought a 2012 base V6 5 years ago and without a doubt I’m confident I will push 300k on this rig. Minus the lift I have nearly the same build as yours. Does your trans have a whine in 3rd …? This is the only issue I’ve ever seen on these vehicles and replacing mine fixed it completely. Plenty of info on rav4world on that. Great video, can’t agree more that people are sleeping on this.
I have a 2012 v6 also with 97k miles. I don’t hear a whine at all. Is the whine loud or what’s it like? How much does it cost you to replace the transmission?
Drove a 2007 Sport AWD v6 to my kid from Montana to Kansas last summer. It was a great drive. Stopped at Custer's battlefield. The vehicle was absolutely brilliant. That V6 is a monster.
I have a 2009 Rav4 Sport V6 4WD with 194,000 miles. The only thing I've replaced were the blown struts/shocks. Everything else is original and I get about 24 MPG with roughly 80% highway and 20% street.
Just subscribed, I've own a v6 for 10 years and after having the engine coils replaced, it flies like new all over again! Can't wait to see what you do with yours. Congrats!
I have a 09 2.5 Limited and love it. Got it from my neighbor for 4k with 120k miles on it. Only issue was he hit a deer and totaled the car. I ended up putting 4k into body work & new brakes that I did myself. I also did a carplay head unit and fresh all seasons and winters. I now want to start thinking about my options for building it up, but I am lacking the funds. Just waiting to win a scratcher or something lol. I want to do coilovers, different wheels, or just larger tires, Mud flaps, and maybe a camper on top. Not too sure yet. Its my grocery getter, surf catcher, onewheel hauler, and overall my best purchase ever.
I absolutely LOVE my 2008 V6 RAV4, it is fun to drive too but however I don't beat on it cuz it is still a 16 year old vehicle and I need it to last!!! I've had it for almost 18 months and it has never left me on the side of the road so far
Been using our 09 Sport for camping a rec up and down the east coast for awhile until it got rear ended and totaled a few weeks ago. Its honestly an amazing car
Bought one about 12 months ago but here in england i went for the 2.2 diesel, which has suprised me with how much power and torque it has. First car ive had for a while that hasnt needed much work in the 1st 12 months done tyres and anti roll bars, which is wear and tear and i dont mind that. Gets 30mpg around town and on a run im getting 60mpg. Very happy with it just wish was a little bigger but its by no means small.
@CoolGuyClub that's a shame its not a bad engine at all. I'm new to rav4's so I'm not entirely sure of the range of engines over here. I got mine cause it has everything on it and just happened to have the 2.2 diesel and 4x4
Bought an 07 Rav4 last year after my '12 Accent was stolen and wrecked. Can't say I'm too mad though as the Rav is hands down the best car I own. I just replaced my shocks and I gotta replace my ignition coils which I'm not stoked about. But this car is worth every swear word
I just did the coils and plugs on our previous v6 rav and honestly it was only a 2 hour job with me going very slowly. The nuts on the back of the engine are a pain but you can totally get them
I have the last year for the V6 mine is a 2012 Limited bought it just before the pandemic really kicked in. It had 72,000 miles on it. Being that i live in the snow belt first thing I did was have the undercarriage treated with oil based product, but not the thick stuff. First two years coated everything, door jams ,sills and rails. Third year, only undercarriage. I now have 95,000 no problems except brakes, wheel bearing and gas tank seal, which was expensive because they had to drop the tank being there's no access cover under the rear seats. Also, I'm adamant about preventive maintenance had spark plugs changed, shocks, struts, coolant drained (didn't flush), drained tranny fluid and replaced the filter. I will never part with it, made in Japan another plus. Considering it cost $30,000 new and I paid half that price, it's a no brainer. Gas milage is great 28 highway and 14 city. Did add a Weathertech hood shield had a couple close calls with stones hitting windshield. Bought a SUV tent for it and one day, I'll be getting a NuCamp 320 S
Great video. I have a 2016 4th gen that I have modified for overlanding. It's a great car. A little larger inside, but I wish it had the V6 of yours. The 2.5l 4 banger is a little slow. Especially when weighed down and going up steep, long inclines.
I bought a used 2009 rav4 V6, with 234000kM , I changed transfer case and rear diff fluid, those bolt with yellow pain on it , I guess no one touched before, the fluid came out so clean, not much metal shard on the magnet bolt. also changed engine oil and transmission fluid. The engine sound so quiet. When the weather permit I will take the throttle body out and clean it. I know this is a very good reliable , a bullet proof 2GR-FE engine.
i have an 80 series Land Cruiser with triple locker, 35 inch wheels and overland built. i do agree with you with this cool little overland rocket. I'm still trying find a 2009+ Rav4 V6 AWD to just drive around town. i hope i find a good one.
I actually like it without the fender flares on my black v6 because it adds lines to the side of the car. Looks really nice when clean or wrapped in matte
I Actually WANT the spare carrier on back-- I kinda like that.. :) and I like the Fender flares too.. so I won't be getting sport-- theyre' NICE- but I like the others better... THAT is the thing- all these little critters are GREAT.. I want V-6 ONLY!!!
I have the same vehicles as you but my Sequoia is older and my rav4 newer. My 2016 rav4 is also awd with the "center locking diff" it has a 2'' lift from northwoods and trail terrain tires, it's been al over Baja and on many weekend roadtrips, I also believe they are so overlooked, I love my 4wd Sequoia but in reality like 90ish% of the time a small lifted awd will get the job done.
These things hold value well. Not FJ resell but still decent. I’ve looked for a v6 and finally found one. Only certain is it has the tire light on which I know it isn’t a huge thing but I wonder how well the previous owner took care of it.
Great video! I'm looking to get one of these, preferably a 2012 V6 AWD but would probably be ok with a 2010/11 too. What mileage do you think I should be looking at for the price? The '12s all seem to be over $15k with around 70,000-100,000 miles around me
Love it! Have you decided if you like driving the sequoia or Rav more? I’ve been driving the v6 Rav4 for 5 years and am considering a 2nd gen sequoia for the next adventure rig!
Do you happen to have examples for tables that could be mounted on the back door? I suppose they'd be products for Jeeps/Broncos? I really enjoy my 2012 v6 and that sounds neat. I don't see a lot of info on TH-cam on how to check these cars for the Tow package, the alternator fuse under the hood on the driver side should be 140a, could be a good tip for a video.
I searched and finally landed a 2011 V6 Limited. I love this thing. I avg 19.9 mpg with equal time spent city/hwy travel. - you can also use that Diff Lock as a “Launch”😂. . I love the swing out door and i have the tire mount, which I love. I have this extra space storage where the 3rd row seat cavity would be with not being used for a spare tire! . I will Consider that 2” lift shock upgrade when i get tires. . Anyone do any engine mods? Like a Cold Air filter or anything else to get a little more from this awesome V6? Great review 😎
I am debating getting an intake kit from a tacoma and testing to see if it fits. So far, the car is plenty fast and gets great mileage so no need for any go fast bits but time will tell if we get an itch that needs to be scratched.
Very fast indeed! I beat infinit q50, g37, Range Rover sport, older corvette, bmw 550i, Mercedes G550, Mercedes E450, Acura TL, all from a dig! I only use octane 91. This is a 2012 rav4 I purchased for 16k with just 95k miles. I wonder what makes it faster!??? People give me thumbs up after I beat them off the line. I hope it will be reliable even though I am aggressive on it? I am coming from a Mercedes (piece of junk) owner.
Yes. Things like arm bushings and motor mounts will eventually need replacing on any car 15 years old but they aren’t critical and can be done any time
Finally got a v6 Rav, Just picked one up with a really bad Wheel bearing for 1000 202k Limited V6. Had a really bad wheel bearing, changed wheel bearing now smooth as can be. I’m about to sell it for $5k I’ve owned a few 4 cylinder ravs. The v6 is definitely better.
Heck yes, check for the condition of the rubber on the lower control arms you can easily see if it's torn or needs replacing. That will be an indication of how many other bushing will need to be replaced. Also check for, oil around the engine and rust around the frame and transmission.
I have almost this exact car but a V4 2012, have you thought about a solution for the missing spare tire? I just had to replace the run flats and decided to go with standard tires to get better tread, but I’m stuck trying to figure out where to put a spare now
Can't find many v6 rav 4 in QLD Australia as most of them are the infamous 2AZFE 4 cylinder oil burner version and they still want top $$$ for them with high mileage
Omg why didn’t I know this🤦♀️I never knew the sport model didn’t have the tire on the back! I have a 2011 V6 AWD Limited Pyrite Mica. There is a black Rav4 on my college campus and I’ve never been able to discern what model it is because the front looks like a gen 3, but the back looks more like a gen 4. At last, it must be a gen 3 sport model. The world finally makes sense again. Thank you.
@@j3plSee, I think that's why I was confused as to what the Rav4 model was that parks near me on campus. I looked at a used sport model (with the tire) before I ended up purchasing my limited. I always just assumed all Rav4 models had the tire on the back until the Gen 4, but this video sure proved me wrong😂. I like the tire on the back too. Not only is the tire easily accessible, but I also like that its unique from other vehicles in the category.
Speaking of MPG: I have a Base 2010 RAV4 with the V6 with the Tow Package. Last March, I towed about 2000 lbs over 1000 miles with it and got 17 mpg, having to fill up every about 4 hours. I moved from MN to TN. I’ve also filled it to the brim with drums and she still wants to get up and go. I’ve slept in the back of the car at 6’4”. When it snowed here in eastern Tennessee, I was the only person who could make it up the hills, even when they were icier than all hell. I don’t think I can get rid of this car. 😂
In what Tacoma generation did they used this v6 engine?? From what I know the old v6 was discontinued in 2004 for the Tacomas. I doubt they kept using it
@@josephsjourney3387 lol processing fee, that's lame. Not an outrageous price, but man it's sad seeing how cheap people were buying these a few years ago.
My 07 V6 limited just had a water pump failure and I over heated it and cracked a cylinder head or blew a head gasket getting a new engine installed is cheaper than either of those repairs 😅
Really? I am afraid to close on a deal on the 2012 v6 limited. I never knew water pump can be issue. I was looking at one with 86k miles and now I am afraid to pull the trigger.
@@topo520 just make sure you get the water pump and cooling system looked at I don't think it's that big of a deal as long as you don't drive it when it starts to overheat like I did. I should have immediately pulled over and had it towed.
I bought my 2011 RAV4 Limited with V6 in Summer 2020, just before used vehicle prices started skyrocketing -- by the end of the year, my ride was worth $2K+ more than what I paid for it -- it's the most fun set of wheels that I have EVER owned
Real guys want a bad ass engine and don’t mind 17mpg around town. Personally being a complete candy ass who was never into performance, and just want to get from point A to B as cheaply as possible, l would prefer a current hybrid RAV4 that gets 41mpg.

Just got my 08 v6 limited fwd from my aunt too😂😂
thats wild my great aunt promised me her 6 cilindrr 2011 rav 4 in her will that she got new it has like 50k miles on it
Just bought my aunts 2007 4 cylinder with 21000 miles. Bought for 5k from her.
I have a 2010 Rav4 Sport. 6 Cylinder 3.5 .
312,000 miles. Runs amazing. Still pulls like a spirit. Will never, ever sell her. Best car I ever bought.

I recently bought a 2011 Toyota RAV4 sport with 98,000 miles the truck recently reached 100,000 miles and runs perfect. I love the power in the V6 engine.
Just bought 2012 v6 sport so excited.
Da one I want.
I have raced Infiniti G37, Q50, Mercedes c450, Range Rover sport, Toyota tundra (twin turbo model) Toyota sequoia twin turbo version, y
Lexus is350 newer one, Lexus es350, Toyota Camry, Subaru sti, Honda accord V6, accord 2.0T, ford explorer ST, Toyota Prius prime, ford F150 raptor, bmw 535 series, BMW 330 series and many more and beaten them all!!
They are built so well!
I'm about to be in the same boat with the 06, do you have any recommendations on anything really?
Picked up a 2007 Rav4 V6 this year for $1K because it had several issues that prevented it from passing inspection, $800 later doing it all myself it was road worthy and best purchase I've made, it is quick, reliable, smooth and if you are easy on it that big 3.5L V6 AWD can get 26-27 mpg on the highway!
Best car !
I just bought a 2010 Rav V6 4wd base model with 146,000 miles and was quite surprised with this car. The previous owner neglected some things but I'm slowly fixing it up. For $4,400 USD I can't really complain, especially when you mention they're going for between $7k to $15k.
My god that’s a steal at $4,400
I just paid 10k with the same mileage. colorado toyota tax fucking sucks. love the car though
My 07 V6 had the water pump fail apparently it's a common issue for this engine on Lexus ES and Avalon too
Florida tax and fee's are not any better, love the car not the finial price@@tylerthiel8470
I kinda think the rear tire mount would be a huge plus when camping
Drove a 2007 Sport AWD v6 to my kid from Montana to Kansas last summer. It was a great drive. Stopped at Custer's battlefield. The vehicle was absolutely brilliant. That V6 is a monster.
They are so overlooked!
Congrats!
Thank you so much for subscribing
Thanks.. Been contenplating a Rav4, you helped make the decision for me!
Glad I could help!
i have a 2006 Rav4 with a 2.2l Diesel engine and i love that car and fun fact imma do a engine swap on it put the V6 in it supercharge it and lower it
My '09 sport v6 is from when the sport had the rear spare tire still. Great car.
Love my 2010 V6. I’m not giving it up anytime soon!
Wow 2.2 diesel! We don’t get those engines here in the states but I wish we did I’d probably keep this car forever if so
@CoolGuyClub that's a shame its not a bad engine at all.
Hi was ur 2009 a sport ?
Happen to find this channel unexpectedly so I looked up Rav4's in AZ, and there was already a post tagging this video.
i have an 80 series Land Cruiser with triple locker, 35 inch wheels and overland built. i do agree with you with this cool little overland rocket. I'm still trying find a 2009+ Rav4 V6 AWD to just drive around town. i hope i find a good one.
I own one. Just got it about 4 months ago. I am really enjoying it
They are great cars.
Love my 2010 Limited V6 AWD. The awd lock just electronically engages the rear magnet on the rear diff.
Proud owner of a black sport 2009 V6 Rav4 with 70 000 miles.
My god the miles are so low.
I think you have me beat. My 2006 has about 95k on it. I expect it to last another 15 years!
What?’ That’s so awesome. I love driving the rav4 so much. It’s such a ripper
These things hold value well. Not FJ resell but still decent. I’ve looked for a v6 and finally found one. Only certain is it has the tire light on which I know it isn’t a huge thing but I wonder how well the previous owner took care of it.
I have 2011 v6 love it thanks for making vlog of 3rd gen V6 Rav 4
Great video! I'm looking to get one of these, preferably a 2012 V6 AWD but would probably be ok with a 2010/11 too. What mileage do you think I should be looking at for the price? The '12s all seem to be over $15k with around 70,000-100,000 miles around me
I just purchased a 11’ V6 AWD with 48k for 12500 in pristine condition. I was searching for 5 months but they occasionally pop up for better prices.
I have the exact same spec and color😂. Love the SAP! Definitely one of the best dailys I've ever owned
Love it! Have you decided if you like driving the sequoia or Rav more? I’ve been driving the v6 Rav4 for 5 years and am considering a 2nd gen sequoia for the next adventure rig!
Hmmm for daily, the RAV is best. It’s a hot rod so the great gas mileage. For long hauls or overland / camp trips, sequoia all day
I would probably just put stickier tires and an aftermarket rear sway bar.. maybe tweak some negative camber into the front. these Rav4's are quick
What radio did you use to upgrade? Brand name?
Does eating besides the struts need to get adjusted or replaced like control, arms, motor mounts, lowering the engine or anything?
Yes. Things like arm bushings and motor mounts will eventually need replacing on any car 15 years old but they aren’t critical and can be done any time
IN your experience- would you recomment the NORTHERN PERFORMANCE Lift kit to be BEST for these? (or something else)...
Finally got a v6 Rav, Just picked one up with a really bad Wheel bearing for 1000 202k Limited V6. Had a really bad wheel bearing, changed wheel bearing now smooth as can be. I’m about to sell it for $5k
I’ve owned a few 4 cylinder ravs. The v6 is definitely better.
Love our Gen3 RAV4.
They are such great cars
I have a 2007 rav 4 with over 200k miles - I LUV HER
heck yes
Im looking at an 2007 sport v6 4WD this weekend with 260000KM. Inspected until May 2026... looks to be in good shape. Grey as well.
Heck yes, check for the condition of the rubber on the lower control arms you can easily see if it's torn or needs replacing. That will be an indication of how many other bushing will need to be replaced.
Also check for, oil around the engine and rust around the frame and transmission.
@@CoolGuyClub thank you I will. It was well undercoated each year with oil changes every 6000KM and no oil burning. This could be the one.
Paid 14.5+taxes for 90k miles 1 owner. Price felt high but the condition was so good to pass up on.
I've got an 06 sport 2.4l
Excellent for that use. If it's AWD you can go anywhere.
Wish I saw this back in 2022 when I bought my subaru Crosstrek :(
I have almost this exact car but a V4 2012, have you thought about a solution for the missing spare tire? I just had to replace the run flats and decided to go with standard tires to get better tread, but I’m stuck trying to figure out where to put a spare now
No need for a spare. We run tire plugs and glue tread. Side note there are no “v4” cars. They are inline 4’s.
I own a 2012 2.5 liter rav4 and love it but want to upgrade a little bit.
Just got a 09 RAV4 Sport for 5.7k, so happy. Really want to do all these mods. I don't have the center locking diff button sadly
That is A STEAL!!!!
Can't find many v6 rav 4 in QLD Australia as most of them are the infamous 2AZFE 4 cylinder oil burner version and they still want top $$$ for them with high mileage
Just picked up an 08 tonight for my daughter. Hoping it's a great first car for her.
They are exceptional cars. You’ll really be happy with it
Omg why didn’t I know this🤦♀️I never knew the sport model didn’t have the tire on the back! Thank you.
Ahaha you’re welcome. To melt your mind even more some sport models did in fact come with a spare. Ours didn’t.
@@CoolGuyClub Noooo, that makes it even worse 😂. No wonder I couldn’t figure it out!
My 2006 Sport has the spare on the back. Pretty nice as it's a full tire and makes for a lot of extra room in the back.
I put a small lift on mine with KO2’s. I have 179k and still runs like a champ!
Awesome!
Your garage looks a lot like mine! I have a second gen Sequoia Limted 5.7L and a third gen Rav4 limited v6 awd.
Oh heck yes!
It’s got a good look to it
I just bought a 3rd gen, but its the 2.5l I4. I'm wondering how well it'll perform compared to the v6
I've had both the I4 and V6. The I4 is "adequate" and very efficient. The V6 is a mini-rocket.
I just bought this car, 2.4 2007 version with just FWD model (because I just use it daily to the office).
Speaking of MPG:
I have a Base 2010 RAV4 with the V6 with the Tow Package.
I don't think you should, it sounds like your RAV4 has been in lock step with you since you've owned it.
In what Tacoma generation did they used this v6 engine?? From what I know the old v6 was discontinued in 2004 for the Tacomas. I doubt they kept using it
Just bought a 2011 V6 with 90 k miles I’m stoked
That's such a score!!!
How much? Around me they are 11-13k
@@DKDuchy it was 12.2 at the dealership but they added a 1k processing fee.
@@josephsjourney3387 lol processing fee, that's lame. Not an outrageous price, but man it's sad seeing how cheap people were buying these a few years ago.
Hello what’s this 2011 model a 2.5 or wich one
Don’t forget The Blade Master G
Have you looked at a Lexus RX350 AWD?
I got the 2012 Sport V-6,this is the Porche 911 of SUVs-!
Agreed
Please help me. I bought a 2012 rav4 limited V6 with 89k miles for 16k. Is that a good deal? Also what about reliability? It’s fast for sure. Thanks.
What about 2nd gen Highlander?
Wish the front dif can be swapped out for a 2WD since the 2WD has the limited slip in the diff.
Ohhhh that’s a great idea.
@CoolGuyClub If you decided to try that..let us know.
Please let me know … I got the v6 and it’s awesome
I just spent 8k on a 2012 4 cylinder.it has 203 thousand miles on it but looks new aside for some scrapes
Very cool
I'm looking to purchase one soon.
Go for it!
My 07 V6 limited just had a water pump failure and I over heated it and cracked a cylinder head or blew a head gasket getting a new engine installed is cheaper than either of those repairs 😅
I’ve actually heard that before. How perfect.
@@joewhitlow5799 thank you. I appreciate it alot
Is this gen unibody, or body on frame?
Unibody. Typical crossover suv set up there but still better than a Subaru lol
Stock ground clearance for 3rd gen is 6.3”
You're right. I actually pulled the wrong year in my research. Thank you for the correction. I'll pin your comment.
You're BOTH incorrect. For the third Gen it was 7.5 inches. 2nd Gen had less, so did the first 4th gens. @@CoolGuyClub
I have a 2wd base 2011 that looks brand new that news suspension tuner and apple car play
what did you pick for the apple car play? please share. I got a limited 2012, looking to upgrade.
I bought my 2011 RAV4 Limited with V6 in Summer 2020, just before used vehicle prices started skyrocketing -- by the end of the year, my ride was worth $2K+ more than what I paid for it -- it's the most fun set of wheels that I have EVER owned
Aren’t they amazing?!
Real guys want a bad ass engine and don’t mind 17mpg around town. Personally being a complete candy ass who was never into performance, and just want to get from point A to B as cheaply as possible, l would prefer a current hybrid RAV4 that gets 41mpg.
Why didn't I know about this car in 2011
v6 awd is really hard to find
They are for sure out there. The hard part is settling on the right one.
The v6 not in europe?
They get diesel and 4 banger
Overlanding with that clearance?
Yup!
More rav4
Coming up
