Thanks for the video Bob! I haven’t joined a chainsaw carving before with two pieces. Nice to see how it’s done. Liked and subscribed 👍

Picked up my first ever chainsaw today, baptism of fire, been asked to do a Life size fox terrier in ash.
My goodness it's going to be a tough learning curve, great to see someone who can carve to hopefully get some tips from. Great work ❤

Thank you. You'll have fun with that. What character, with those eyebrows and hairy snout. Have you got a carving bar on your saw? First bit of advice would be to have plenty of reference photos (printed on paper that you can keep glancing at, rather than images on your phone). Have fun.

@@robertwilson9746 yes am having a great time!
Have got lots of ref pics and a small 8 inch cannon bar for the Stihl msa140 battery saw.
Lots to learn and am loving it 😁

That's an interesting flapper/ sander. I would be interested in seeing it more closely and how that works. Great carving.

It is a fantastic flap sander. Designed by a fellow carver. I have shown it closer up on a previous video. I think it was on one of the wood spirit videos but can't remember. I haven't yet shown how to load it. That'll be one for the future. Glad you like my work and thanks for subscribing.

@@robertwilson9746 The SandOFlex refills are waay too expensive and not very aggressive. Looking forward to seeing more on the flapper. Subbed.

@zod5966 I definitely wouldn't go back to sand-o-flex after using the wood whacker

Beautiful wood finish color. Can I please asked what you used? Sorry if I missed it in the video. Thank you so much for all your videos!

Hi Angela, sorry I didn't show what I used as a finish. It was Ronseal Decking Oil (Natural Cedar)
