Why is starting and coming off the bench such a touchy topic for certain players? I feel like JW should welcome a 6man roll w the Clippers, it shouldn’t even be a conversation. I think he’ll be most effective off the bench and it’ll help him stay healthy as well.
Honestly ya I think he will be able to be the most “like himself” if he plays a true high minutes 6th man role. If I were him, I’d say that as long as I get the same minutes either way? Honestly ya I think he will be able to be the most “like himself” if he plays a true high minutes 6th man role. If I were him, I’d say that as long as I get the same minutes either way? I’d love to come off the bench. He’ll have the ball in his hands more. Play agaisnr second stringers, and be able to do his DC thing which was constantly draw help defenders and find everyone for open shots, and then find his spots to put the ball in the hoop between that. I think the best chance he actually averges solid numbers is as a bench player. I could see like 14-15 points and 5 assists off the bench, but if he starts I wonder if it’ll be like 9-10 ppg
