I started working on this like mid-march but SO MANY THINGS GOT IN THE WAY like my final block n all that stuff BUT NOW IM ON BREAK so i managed to get it done aa :'DD

I just have to say, I appreciate the fact that you never gave Chara a knife. In a lot of Undertale animatics, people use Chara as the Genocide scapegoat incredibly often and they give them a knife while giving Frisk a stick. But you gave Chara an actual symbol that represents them all routes of the game: the buttercups that killed them.
Beautiful work.
To be fair, Chara did have a knife- the worn dagger or the real knife. They liked knives if you believe in Narrachara.
But just because Chara liked knives doesn’t mean they’re evil, Clover likes guns, I’m sure, and they’re not evil. Buttercups are a better symbol of them too because Frisk can use Chara’s knife and Patience also had a toy knife which might get mixed up…
To be fair, we don't always associate knives with the Geno Route specifically. It's also used as a readily recognizable symbol we can associate with Chara, similar to how knives are associated with Omori, or Madotsuki from Yume Nikki.
Big agree. Kris is the one we actually see with the knife... for eating pie, of course! (I don't interpret any of the kids as bad. Kris is a little troll, but hey, we all love Sans and he's the same.)
Chara's knife is their starting weapon. Like the gun is for Cover and the stick is for frisk. It makes sense that it would be used to represent them and it fits the pattern used for the other two.

I really love the parallel between clover and chara, and then with Kris and frisk that you established here. And I like it due to that chara & Kris are the ones usually paralleled, and I especially like it because frisk and Kris didn’t choose to be in their circumstances, where as clover and chara (in my opinion) chose to go to the underground.

aaa i missed it but this was so good!! Great job! Loved seeing the Neutral Route Starlo cameo, his sprite was by far the most offputting to me and it was utilised very well here! He totally won't haunt me for another week /j
Overall this was great, seeing how all the verses even fit everyone so well! The scene with all their belongings and the implications of specific routes were a real treat, and they all really deserved this recognition :) Will look forward to your next upload as always ❤

@@nova-witchwood oh like the implications of the uty neutral route (several frames), frisk looking uncomfortable in the bedroom which could be a reference to the player's actions, etc. Maybe I'm overthinking it though lol
@@DoubleAgent05 Ahhh… yeah, I guessed UTY neutral, after all Starlo ain’t looking too… alive. Chara’s story is set in stone. All that’s left is Frisk and Kris, which are very ambiguous.
We already know how Chara will ended up we also see the conclusion to Clover and Frisk journey that leave only Kris as the one with so much story still untold

If this is the genocide/massacre/whatever route that I said would happen… uhhh… I win bragging rights and… uhhh… an honorable mention when this animator reaches stardom.

OUGH this is so good I love how you nailed the characters and the vibes they give off, as well as representing them in certain ways. Chara especially stands out to me here but also how Clover was represented as well. They all had this kind of contemplative feel to them that worked with the song choice and it turned out great :)
This whole full animatic is amazing but I am especially taken by the composition of this shot at 1:54. Absolutely beautiful! :O

Aaa this is really good!! I absolutely love the art style and how you depicted everyone, especially Chara and Frisk. I don’t get why Chara is typically shown as bad, evil, and a genocidal maniac when it was really the player all along. I’m not saying Chara’s a super good person tho lol

@@abcdefghigklmnnopqrstuwxyz yeah, there were a lot of other hints too (or what I took as hints), but like I said, I srsly don’t get why ppl always pin all the evil onto Chara. Especially cause we know that they tried to break the barriers in their own way. It was done in good intentions, though the method was not very good.
I haven't felt this called out by lyrics since Look Who's Inside Again, ouch.

This was so cool!!! Based on the children's point of view...I love the chara and clover parallels and the frisk and Kris parallels (even though I barely know anything about Kris because I don't want to spoil anything of deltarune for myself till the whole game is done... that's why I haven't played it yet or watched anything to do with it...) but yeah despite that I loved the video very good!! Looking forward to seeing more from you!!!
You should play it the game is alredy a bit longer and almost better than undertale, if not at least buy it in a couple months when chapters 3 & 4 release
