Exactly sis! It’s so hard for me to say a kpop group has great vocal line bcz i tend to compare woth btob and btob is god level. It’s annoying sometimes. But what to do, btob made me like this lol

the thing is they're still getting better!!! they're already very good then but now they sing more at ease and have strengthen their lower register. some groups have good vocalists too but for me btob still have the best voice combination that makes their songs more and only tailored to them.
To answer your question about how much does it take for melody to be impressed: a lot xD When you stan BTOB it's hard to stan another group for their vocals and we usually stan for other stuff xD.
At The End is Changsub's solo song and it's soooo good !
Honestly if you want a good start of what BTOB is like musically, you can go to Melody International and watch/react to each song of their This Is Us concert (it has subtitles!)
Im into kpop since 2008 and jumping from one group to another. BTOB for me has the best vocal lines and so good in harmonization and now as melody it's hard for me to like other group if they can't sing as good and as raw as BTOB in live performance.

I'm a multistan and the number of group I stan is 9 or 10 maybe. It's too many 😂. Add to the fact that I've been a kpop fan since 2008 I can say that Btob vocals is the top of the industry. So just like you said, Melody standard for vocals is so high. Other than Btob, the group that I stan is not bcs of vocals. I can name a number of vocalist that has impressed me the same as Btob which is TVXQ, Super Junior(3 main vocalist), EXO(3 main vocalist), Sistar's Soyou and Hyolyn, Highlight's Yoseob, Vixx Ken, Block B Taeil, Apink Eunji, Gfriend Yuju, Red velvet Wendy and a few more. So far, there's no one from 4th gen group has impressed me with their vocals the same as I mentioned before.

This! I didn't want to say it but the truth is, most 4th gen groups are becoming more and more subpar when it comes to vocals. But it makes sense as they are more performance driven which is also cool, but there is a distinct lack of vocal talent. Of course you get the odd one every now and then, but it feels like now looks and athleticism is the primary factor in being an idol rather than being a good singer first. I can't listen to most of them live cos my ears hurt.
Thank you for reacting to BTOB. Yes, they're known for being loud, funny and dorky and others don't even know that they can sing so well. The stage is their playground and where they're at their best so even if they have good mvs, their live performances are better. These are some suggestions..

about your question about impressing melody, only BTOB can impress melody because each album they challenge themselves to a new thing and they do it very well. not only the vocal line are good, the rappers also can sing. Minhyuk has been singing a lot lately, he is also a very good singer and harmonize with them. actually all of them can sing and rap. its hard to not fall for them. welcome to the family new melody 💙
there are too much to recommend, and its hard to pick the best live performances, but I loved only one for me era. they were enjoying the music show stages so much. they were not performing, they were having fun.

With regards to your question, I only went into kpop because of BTOB, it would be a waste for me to not stan them because they have SO MUCH talent. I started discovering other groups too but I just cant bring myself to stan them because BTOB has set very high standards for me in all aspects (talents, personality, attitude, mindset, etc.). 💙
Other than the 4 main vocalists (Eunkwang, Changsub, Hyunsik and Sungjae) the rap line CAN actually sing too! There have been multiple times wherein they switch parts (vocalists rapping and rappers singing). The rappers could actually be a vocalist in other kpop groups 😅 that’s why BTOB are known as 7 vocalists and 7 rappers 💙

In term of vocal and harmonisation, TVXQ (5members) is the only boy group I can think of that can top BTOB. Other than that, BTOB is the ONLY one and number 1 for me💙

To answer your question, BTOB ruins your standard, in a good way. I like other groups, but not for their vocals. When BTOB are your vocal standard, basic singers just can't move me. I even cringe when some fans think their faves are great vocalists but all I can hear is mediocrity (not trying to be disrespectful as I like those groups but it is what it is).
But I can appreciate their other talents like dancing etc.
To put it another way, Koreans don't regard BTOB as kpop idols anymore which is the highest compliment they can pay them as they regard kpop singers as mediocre.
