You can split audio assets to create a gap on the timeline. Move the audio asset on the right side further down the timeline to increase the gap. The gap on the timeline will act as a pause.
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling some trepidation over learning to edit video. This free program seems like it might be the one I need. Your brief instruction is helpful to get me going. Thanks again.
As usual informative and fabulous! Do you have any tutorials showing a screen, like your landscape but also YOU NARRATING & pointing things out. This would be so helpful for videos I'm planning to upload giving directions how to create what would be on the screen & with me still on screen,,.but small...or the same without having narrator on screen -
@@clipchampcom hmmm. When I see people describe something on a screen w/ their image small, i.e. in corner, is that a separate video / asset that you simply edit in to your full screen picture/ scene?
Yes. Generally, any video you create in Clipchamp can get used for commercial and non-commercial purposes, as long as you use stock media they might have in the video in line with the "License and Terms of Use" (see below). If there are no Microsoft-provided stock media assets in projects, you can use video creations as you please (commercial or non-commercial). If you use stock media assets in your videos then the following applies. License and Terms of Use: When you're on a license plan that includes access to stock media, you are allowed to incorporate stock video, image and audio assets in videos that you save from Clipchamp. This includes both projects that you create for commercial and non-commercial purposes. However, you may not download and redistribute the individual underlying stock files, use them in other editing programs, or share or sell them.
Very good video , better than many others that do things in a great rush. Once I have finished my video and download it to my computer , can I bring the video back into the clipchamp at a later date and do any adjustments and editing or is the video frozen and I'm stuck with it. as is. I also have a video from the old micosoft video editor , can i edit it in Clipchamp or is it not compatible. PS am not happy that this editing is in the cloud , would rather have it in my computer . also wounder how long will it be before clipchamp changes over to a subscription based availability.
I add text and an asset and for some reason clip champ will not let me extend to make longer...It will not let me drag it to extend, it doesn't even show the arrow that would allow me to drag clip to be longer...Any suggestions! Ps....Luuuuuuvin your channel as a new TH-camr!

I tried the program. This would be much more desireable software to use as stand alone. Who wants to upload personal photos to a cloud. What are the privacy iissues with this?
@@GuyWithTheDogs how/where can I get the stand alone version, please? The cloud is so slow with wi-fi internet. I only do basic editing, so stand alone will be fine for me. TYSM

I use clipchamp every day but it makes my videos look bad even if they are 2k when I upload them to 1080 they look bad at TH-cam any solution ?

Yep! Just resize your video in the stage as shown in the tutorial, and the black bars will disappear as your video fills the whole canvas :)
