Excellent vid Gaz, great for beginners and know it alls, shows what you can catch at 40yds to many wade out to the edge of the gully and then whack it out. Bait tips, fish id, fish handling , stranded fish returned, and tips on the tide. Well done.
Hi gaz, started fishing a week ago so i am complete novice.....got loads of tips from your vids and been very helpful in catching.......wanting to fish the 5 bar gate area this coming week when the weather gets better, could you please recommend a good tide hight low or high to fish off please and also how long to get there before to do a reck on the sandbanks and gullies. Thanks gaz
Hia Chris glad you like the channel as a rule of thumb if the wind is in the west between 5-20 mph I alway feel good about going out Tuesday and Wednesday look that way to me for this week high tide is about 3 hours before will normally give you a good look just before it comes in and low I fish 2hours down and 1 hour up but the see it I would go at low the day before to check it out but low watering is dangerous so don't take any chances cus it's easy to get cut off hope that's some help tight lines 🎣🎣
Great video. Im really inexperienced with sea fishing. wanting to try some fishing near Blackpool/Fleetwood for sea bass would love some assistance on best spots etc
Bass you can get all up and down the coast here if there is surff about them your In with a chance but also I have a video all about targeting bass from Blackpool if you have a look through my videos you should find it hope that's some help
Congratulations on hitting well deserved 1k sub Gaz mate, I've had exactly the same color dab on Sunday which is getting uploaded as I'm typing this. Keep up the good work and tight lines 👍🎣
Hi buddy its aaron off the beach that left you the worms it was my gf with me haha. Glad you had a good days fishing and shame about no more bass around. We went fishing that night and I ended up going for a swim because I forgot to set my clutch and a big smooth hound took my rod in over the wall so had to swim to get it back haha
That's a shame I'm thinking that tomorrow night or the following day tide will be good as the wind drops off to around 15 mph in the west as long as you can cast into a gully have a look as the tide is coming in and use fresh worm let us no when f you get out and if it works for you tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
@@lifeofgazfishing1873 Hi Gaz thinks for the advice but that's what I usually do. Asking other guys on the wall quite a few have said it's poor lately, but a few bass have been had
@@scuba6936 yeah it's not been the best this lat week and a bit but this weather change could make a big difference when I fish I have quite a long cast and lots of the fish I have had have been at distance in the 2 hours before high
Wouldn't mind have a session with you both guys, i fish Blackpool coast regularly and realised i have got lots to learn, i love to watch your videos, great job buddy🤔🤔
Well done on 1k. Took some mussels from the beach the other day. Salted water overnight, cleaned them up and in fridge for a day with a wet cloth over them. Too gritty/sand in them. Any tips? Cheers..
Thanks with the mussels if you put them into n the fridge this time of year the cooler temp will make them sleep I leave them at room temperature in the summer if I get them from a sand beach as that's closer to the temperature out on the beach and I repeat the purge 3 or 4 times untill the sand stops coming out also when you cook them if the is an sand in them you can wash them through before eating hope that's some help
Congratulations! Last time I fished Blackpool at low tide I was joined by some t**t from the council (a beach patrol warden) who stood close by talking into his walkie-talkie and insisting that the police come and remove me because I was in danger of drowning! Have fun and make sure you record it if they turn up!
No it's north shore about 1/2 a mile north of North pier but there is big gully to watch out for there when coming back. I'm going to try to get out to south shore at some point for a session when the weather's right 🎣🎣🎣
congrats on getting your 1000 subs mate, keep pumping the videos out.
Thanks and your not far off as well over 900 subsbers tight lines 🎣🎣

Thanks man and yeah there odd those ones I'll have a watch of your video today 👍 tight lines 🎣🎣
You catch a lot of the “camouflaged” dabs closer to the river so I presume it’s to hide in the silt.
Ok I have always wondered why you get the odd one from time to time but you might be on to something there
well done gaz on the 1000 good vid mate tight lines.

Do you not have any trouble with May rot at the moment? It's terrible round where I fish in the Solway.
No we don't really we do get a slight rot but as it's sand everywhere there not a huge amount of weed to rot down
Good video mate bit of advice keep Mike out of wind for better quality sound other than that no issues
Thanks and I do try but the next thing on the list is a better a mic for cutting out the wind
