I would like to kindly get your advice about an issue I'm facing. I grafted a De La Roca cutting on a Turkish Brown fig tree. The cutting grew with no issues. However when fruited, the figs became hard and fell off the tree before ripening. It's worth mentioning that when the figs started to fall, the weather was humid and the temperature was around 86°F. I would like to know what went wrong. Thank you,
Good Day Ross. I have been patiently waiting for some "De La Roca" cuttings to show up in FigBid. It is currently cutting season and FigBid is filled with cuttings. However, "De La Roca" has failed to show its face. Where can I get a plant or cutting??? Thank you.
Thanks for your videos. I got a de la roca on the strength of your description and praise of it. It came to me with a hint of fig mosaic virus that is looking worse as the tree grows. I'm doing everything I can for it but my question is, should I destroy this tree to protect my others? Is it true what I sometimes hear about trees "growing out" of FMV? What do you know about this particular type and its vulnerability to FMV? Thanks!
FMV is always there. If you're gonna grow figs, it's unavoidable. Look up my videos on rejuvenation pruning. It's pretty easy to lessen the severity of the virus if your tree is struggling to grow or fruit.
Shades the zip-lock bag that is full of soil to keep algae from growing and temps down. He is doing an air layer and will cut off the branch after it roots out.

Thank you,
Cuttings were $7.50 from Harvey in 2019. Glad I bought one and it is now a nice tree.
Can you share with me a cutting please?
Yep, our season just ended pretty abruptly. We're in for 29 deg F on Thursday morning.
Hi Ross , I have a Raspberry Late, strawberry verte, Battaglia last summer zone 6B, since I have these is this fig worth getting?
For a collector, Definitely.
Sounds good, thanks. How does it compare to white Madeira?
Right when I think I’m done adding figs to my list. 🤦🏻♀️
