@@ck-bs2ms both did their best and both has their flaws but IMO, the previous one did better considering they rebuild more cities in a shorter time frame compared to the current one.
The rehabilitation of the city did take some time, because the armed forces did a thorough checking of every part of the city from every unexploded ordnance left from the 2017 conflict, and its a risky job performed by the Philippine military and police force. After that did the actual rehabilitation works begin, the government is pouring huge amount for rehabilitation works and it's gaining grounds already, I believe in few years time Marawi will be so vibrant that it can be a main tourist hub in Mindanao, nice view, nice people, marawi has it all.
You can’t just rebuild a city, the people need to build it. The little amount of government funds isn’t enough to make it a luxurious Tourism site like Pattaya. The only way to make tourism artificially is like Dubai, but then erecting large tall buildings would take billions.
The government will rebuild the public facilities like road, drainage, water line, electricity, public buildings, etc. The lot owners will rebuild their own properties.
The rebuilding of Marawi started a year ago as of today, bad mistake since the marawi seige only ended 4 years ago before the rebuilding process so they should've started much earlier. You can not rebuild the town overnight and to be honest you should've started much much more earlier. Guess the construction is in the hands of the next president.
If they want to progress faster they should help each other in stopping corruption, crime and terrorism. They should address safety issues for both Muslims and Non-muslims. A city will not progress if such problems persist. Lanao del sur has a potential of becoming a tourist spot. The weather out there is as nice as Baguio but the safety issues shrouds all the wonderful things it offers. Lake lanao and its neighboring rural areas has scenic spots yet it has been abused and its clealiness has not been taken care of.

Tourist attraction is a bad idea.
That's not for you to decide
@@ApriFoat bakit?! Hindi mo ba alam na ang mga foreign tourist ay parating carrier ng salot tulad covid at monkeypox
Probably?
Yeah. Any tourists going there is just basically looking for trouble. If some group kidnaps you there, they can take you to many places where the military will have a hard time rescuing you. Nah, still not safe for tourists. Establish other businesses there, like manufacturing or agriculture, but tourism, not possible.
Big salute to the National Government, other countries donation and most especially our Beloved President Rodrigo Duterte for his courage, determination, patient and love of the country most particular in Marawi City!!!.. President Duterte is a legendary living Hero of the Philippines!!!
Muslim and Christian in the Philippines is one NATION
I think philippines should hire an urban planner on this. its an opportunity to build a smart city in marawi
A lesson to the opposition, there is other things more valuable and necessary than your one time, publicly-focused relief goods.
I think its better to start from the ground up again but of course thats not gonna happen because its going to be super expensive

Ground zero was so creepy on nights before their restoration. Overgrown plants on abandoned houses with some of their walls damaged. There are bullet holes everywhere. There was one teddy bear hanging on a terrace with something red (definitely not blood). There are very few houses that looked pretty with the overgrown plants because of the pretty little purple flowers dotted on them tho
I will miss you as a president,Roa,rest well and Congratulations to your daughter,Sara duterte

I remember many Filipinos who complained on how slow the rebuilding of cities that were devastated by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Fast forward today, the Philippine Government still didn't learn that they need to rebuild a city after its destruction ASAP.
do you live in an alternate universe? haven't you heard the news about COVID that stops the world, stop the jobs, slows the economy and force the government to use its funds to combat the virus? lugaw ka ata e
Well at least the Duterte admin is doing there job unlike the opposition they did nothing...
Idiot! Typhoon Haiyan is caused by climate change, while Marawi siege is caused by terrorist.
Different from Yolanda
Finding hundreds of unexploded ordnance and IEDs is not easy looking at how messed up the place
My love marawi
We all want this-
You can’t just rebuild a city, the people need to build it.
@@gsastudio-archl geographic location, geopolitics and security of the area will also be a problem.

Its an awe to think , what a1000 Terrorist can do to a city of 150,000 Population.
Nakakaiyak
Ilove duterte now and forever
Stop building coffee shop you should focus on rebuilding schools and houses also always safety is your priority i can really see that war will happen again if you have incompetent leaderb
Well you first need economic activity to attract attention of people to come and live there, before they could start rebuilding educational facilities
People of Marawi are business minded, you are asking why coffee shops because it was the residents who fund it. Schools are also built inside the city funded by the government.. I don't think the residents are going to fund public schools.. Research is the key.
Moga penduduk marawi kuat insyaallah.
Goodjob.🙏
It's been 5 years and they are rushing in the last few remaining days. What kind of government is that.
Ehh atleast not. Like aquini who doesnt care anything except themselves
Also atleast not like those idiot and dumb who are pretending to dont know what is the real and fake example you

Learn first okay? Before you talk because you are making fun of yourself for being an idiot
They are rushing to finish it but the rehabilitation has been on going for years because its not just marawi they wanna transform into a tourist landmark but the entire mindanao
its not easy for you to say it Kiddo because you know NOTHING about whats going on in Mindanao
They will not say “Islamic” terrorists they only say terrorists
But are they are not terrorist tho lol? Why need to specifically add "Islamic"? Their terrorist regardless so why need to add it
