Dope battle...this is the illmac I know. No body loses this battle...hard to say who won both came fire...I thought it was Illmac 2-1 going into the third until jc 3rd then I was like I don’t know...good battle tho....if I had to choose one it would come down to performance which I thought jc had a tad bit more in the third...good battle tho ill
Salute to RBE. Consistently delivering fire battles. This is a 2-1 battle and I'm not mad either way it breaks. Listening to the sound only, I gave it to IllMac. Watching it, I edged it to JC. IllMac was comfortable on the stage and it showed in the way he checked JC's "above it all" swagger. When JC started shushing the crowd, Mac knew it is a tried and true technique by JC to make Mac look like a guest in his house. I think Ill prepped by reviewing the Craig Lamar battle. He even snagged a similar line about birds from the concussion (Craig Lamar vs JC - "You'll have birds swirling around your head like a Disney cartoon") He took on the played out dancing Chris Stokes angle used the Fresco against Rone Sandusky angle- even copying Fresco's flow but then he dusted it off with the CardiB "He don't dance now, he make money moves." which was devastating. JC has a tell when something gets under his skin so watch that moment if you want to know what it is. The other thing IllMac took from the Craig Lamar v JC battle is that you can out bar JC and lose. You have to perform and IllMac delivered solidly for one round and unevenly for two rounds. His rebuttal of JC's gargoyle line is the best argument for an IllMac 2-1. When you take a haymaker and make it a room shaker, that casts a long shadow. IllMacs, "winning streaks as long as your career" and Oprah- "You get a top tier" was fire too. The Lux angle was a good one but he ran out of gas and it started to sputter. JC was more consistent round after round. "Storm through a (T)arget like Black Friday", but there weren't a ton of quotables from either. JC's aggression in the last round helped him. He always brings out the Denzel elbow cocked, pointing in your face gesture when he turns up. You can make a drinking game out of every time he says the word "accurate" in a battle or makes the "you don't understand me" face, which have become crutches. And I cosign @JayBlac1615 saying JC has to stop pausing so long. IllMac can get too corny and he began to slip into that lane Big K exposed him on in round 3. Even his Kevin Durrant rebuttal was cringe-worthy (hang 10?) Not a 3-0, a 2-1 that breaks either way on preference. Bonus points to both for engaging and showing respect to each other during the battle.

But he has a real rap sheet, and a nice amount of wins on it, and he just wanna prove he a great. I got nothing against it.

Strong performances from both. And honestly, it was nice to see battle that was clearly all love between the two. Too much of battle rap is people trying to kill each other with personal shit, than simply killing at the craft itself. This was two masters focused on plying the craft, rather than killing each other.

Azri Arif jc's legacy is actually crazy. The reason he can't battle "vets" is because he's already battled them. John John, Charlie, k-shine, roc, magic, daylyt, ars (he lost that bad though. Most battles he don't lose bad, but mmh), qp. Hasn't battled dna(interesting), con, cal, surf, and that's really it for the vets, oh and hitman and verb almost for stl. But he has a real rap sheet, and a nice amount of wins on it, and he just wanna prove he a great. I got nothing against it.

Too much of battle rap is people trying to kill each other with personal shit, than simply killing at the craft itself. This was two masters focused on plying the craft, rather than killing each other.
