this is the most esoteric show in world history
Woah, I was not expecting you here!
What are you doing in here buddy
I feel like this was custom made for me. Thank you Doug, Brent and every one else who worked on these.
I feel exactly the same way! 😂❤
You put up a season 5 indiegogo campaign and I will immediately fund it again. Mike Myers.
8:37 BUCKLE UP KNUCKLES, SEASON 5, 2025
@@AlexGeerkenimma remember that
What an ending. It blew my ass mind.
Slurpee good
Brent standing in the dark behind The Pig was nice a touch. I'm going to go watch Lost Highway now.
omg nice spot
Nonsense start to finish. Pound House perfection.
Lost marble located @1:50
My acorn is soaking.
Gotta admit, its making my acorn all wet.
Finally a sequel from Hollywood worthy of its predecessor.
After watching this back over 10 times I can comfortably say the bathroom scene with Omar is one of my favorite moments ever in the series. Truly inspirational.
I’ve been coming back to this every day just skipping to that perfectly ominous, dead-eyed “buckle up, nickel”.
Up there with “imma just lean back, and make you miss me” and “fetch me a slurpee”
Shout out to Omar
Alright, I have a theory which explains a lot, but before you ask, no I don't think any of the following is actually their intent so much as they are just making a creepy, surrealist comedy. But I had fun thinking about it.
So Brent called the clone of Doug "the Pig". I think there's a reason beyond artistic expression for that. Remember in Pig Nut Bubble, Johnny Pemberton's character calls himself a "Pork Stork"? Well, what do storks do in nursery myth, they bring babies. The "Pork Stork" is the stork of pork, in that he helps creates more pigs.
Pigs are clones of people, like the Michael/Angelo that sits inert in Brent's limo at the end of this episode, and the Brent clones at the end of Episode 1 where Doug goes on the date, where numerous Brents flood in as we fade to black at the end. It is also is an explanation to how Brent can be in numerous places at once, he seems to be everywhere when we see him watching Doug from the distance in different episodes, and it also how he can talk to Doug on the phone while also stand next to him quietly and stare in the phone episode.
Why are they called pigs, though? They have the genetic material of actual pigs, I believe a pig nut bubble is indeed dug up in a pig pen puddle, and is as gross as it sounds. In episode 2, when Pork Stork was standing upon the hill, splashing the earth with that milky substance using a bone, pig nut bubble was that milky substance. How the rest of this process leads to the end result of a "pig" is yet to be seen.
Nonethelees, Pork Stork is a highly decorated nickel with many things that he'll do for Brent, but perhaps most of all is this pork-storking. Brent did not appreciate Doug inquiring about this practice as it's likely a highly guarded secret, hence forcing him to make a demanding and wasteful smoothie and then sending him to bed early.
Wow
Tree-hee! Pound House has always had moments of genuine terror, but this one really did it up big time. Fantastic work, y'all.
Sublime! Courageously examines the overlap between friends art shows and strangers art shows.
Doug, you were the patron saint of my depression back in 2016
I read all comments and nobody mentioned the salad - cheese no cheese alt. Versions in the art gallery. Very cool Easter egg indeed! Hilarious call back!
Some serious Jacob's Ladder style psychological thrills going on. Bravo
I literally just looked up Pound House out of the blue after years of not watching it and I see an episode that came out hours ago. Its like he put out a signal, like in Black Ops 1
whoa Doug you captured the heart of LA
I am so happy you guys are still making these. Can't wait to binge watch them all
I'ma remember dat

holy crap. I feel like pound house is just getting started. what a cliffhanger ending and tribute to lost highway!.
About time we got some Douggian Dream Horror going on up in here! Now we need some Cosmic Dougg.
Doug is essentially a broken man divided in two pieces: his own authentic self and his pig version whom people like Brent want him to be. He can't reconcile this aspects of himself and that's why he has a doppelganger distinct from himself. Brent is intent on destroying Doug's true self for his own benefit and this is represented by the art show idealizing the double. Doug can't seem to escape this toxic dynamic with Brent because he benefits somewhat from his working relationship with the latter and thusly, he is trapped forever in the backseat, so to speak, with Brent at the helm of his destiny and soul.
Alright but where does Brent’s MJ clone come in?
Nice
I think the MJ clone is like a "fish in the percolator" type of character. Just a weird concept that makes no sense but it's cool nonetheless. Look up this trope as manifested in Twin Peaks season 1 and you'll know what I mean. Like a fish getting somehow into a coffee percolator, it makes no sense at first glance, but the reaction it elicits from the characters and it's implications is the only reason it needs to exist.
Brent's MJ clone also seems to be thematically related to the tulpa/doppelganger motif of the episode and series overall. As the Pig version of Doug is essentially a flesh manifestation of the expectations people foreign to him express about his art and persona, the MJ clone is the opposite, an entity whom people foreign to it simply don't care about and notice, which is perfect for Brent/Angelo to inhabit while he is incognito in his art show. That's why he dons the disguise in the first place.
In the end, it is shown Brent doesn't need to alienate from himself like Doug does, that's why MJ is shown to be lifeless and like a corpse in the backseat on his car. Doug on the other hand becomes his tulpa, he becomes the art piece the art exposition was talking about and can't escape his toxic dynamic with himself and Brent. @@skullingtonturtle8080
This is incredible. So well done. Lynch vibes, amazing ending! Cheers from Canada.
This episode was so heavy at the end omg
Damn, that was a ride!! Doug finally learns to say "no" and then Brent takes him on another adventure in self-worth--sometimes, life takes you to unexpected places like that. Great build up, everyone, with lots of delicious discomfort. Thank you!!
holy crap... you WERE the art...
…Buckle up, Nickel
"that's not the art... THIS IS THE ART"
Your videos are the ultimate "I don't know why this is funny but I can't stop laughing."
This show is deep. Twin Peaks levels of symbolism and creative imagery. Keep up the great work, because you are doing good!
Lost Highway vibes, love it!

This show has warped my sense of humor, I love it so much.

Sending love to Douglas and Brent for a fantastic season. Time for a bottom half shower, pimples.
Brent was nice enough to clone Doug so he didnt have to kill the real one for the art show
Friggin great show as always, Dougg. And they always look so great :)
This was genuinely so great!
It would be cool to have the complete series as one continuous video. Or maybe one for each season?
Anyway, great work everybody. This surpassed my already high expectations and I can't wait to share it with more people.
Incredible finale
Oh, I get it. Michelangelo.
