Most of the people here are agnostic. But the way to Santiago de Compostela goes through Basque Country since the year 1000 (more or less) so there is a lot of influence of christian culture, even in the basque flag there is a white cross like the U.K.'s. You can find catholic churches and schools but most of the schools here are secular, we live in the 21st c.The very first religion here was some kind of mitology related with nature but it has the same life as the classic mitology in Greece now
She said (after the rooster crows...) "faire un tour": it's french, it means that she would like to go to America and have a look around. Thanks for this video!
No, a poll in 2006 found a little more than half are. They have, or had rather, an interesting religion of their own prior to the introduction of Christianity that slowly happened between the 4th and 12th centuries.
I have this dvd. Awesome stuff, I wish he made more.
Orsen's personality and way of speaking really shines.

@Torgunr I think first she said "Bai". "Bai" means "yes". But then she said something I cannot undestand.
Is that Curly Howard @ 1:45?
Any Basques who would know what she really said when asked if she would want to go to America
You don't get the style of Welles' narration.
Orson en el país vasco!
@Floorsnarl No.
@ahera9 Maybe she tries to say something in English "I want to".
