This time the big creative thing is thanks to CrazyCatMyri though! ;) I've linked her channel if you want to check it out. I haven't seen much of her stuff, but this waterfall idea if *brilliant*
@@hehehehaw8346ofc you can, it's just not on the Microsoft store on PC, it is on console though. If on PC you can find it on steam. Jwe2 is on both though.
I’d love to see a park on this map. Maybe even with the theme of it having been a preserve that was turned into a park to help pay for it. Nice tutorial video!
I find it one of the best nature builds yet, the cocaïne..i mean snow gives a nice toughy waterfall. And please be always our crazy path/rock/tree woman cause you are our inspiration fountain.
This looks really cool to see and even learn to do in the game. If only we could actually making actual waterfalls in the game. But this works without mods and such here. Especially for the square maps. Thanks for tips on this!
For the first time, I never thought that seeing people build magnificent stuff here will be fun- I mean, I've watched plenty of people building stuff and I felt so amazed seeing the end results and how they built it. It's just so satisfying- I should really watch more of these from you lol, I can imagine this being like a survival dinosaur game map. All we probably need now are dinosaurs in it. I'm not sure if you can do that or if the game doesn't allow you to, but it really just needs dinosaurs
I enjoy the variety of different videos you do, but this is by far my favorite type. Incredibly helpful yet also visually stunning on top of being a great listen. Thanks for continuing to push the limits on this game and creating great content in the process!
No fockin way, I was actually trying to find a tips and tricks video on your channel on terrain since I am making an all species park (with some modded new species and added decorations). I am at the point where I study the differences between Alpine, Taiga and Tundra biomes in reality.
Hi ! I think that this map is really good for a park and I have some ideas I would like to share : - There's some empty spaces that guest areas could fill. You could even make a destroyed guest area at the bottom of the volcano, pretend that the last eruption is very recent and add DPG decorations to pretend that renovation work is ongoing. - You could add a monorail to make a cable car (or put some path to mimic a hiking trail) that lead visitors to the top of the mountain and then they go down with a zipline. - For the enclosures, I thought that you could create wide enclosures with a little number of species each (like twenty or twenty-five maximum on the whole map). You could make carnivores and herbivores live together so each enclosures would be like a little ecosystem (or why not a piece of an ecosystem as big as the map ?) around each enviromments you've done (an enclosure for the marsh, another for the mountain etc.). Of course you could add an aviary or several. - I also thought that a tour would fit well in the marsh, I just have the feeling that it would be perfect here😂 Anyway I follow you for a while now and watch your videos is always a real pleasure ! Just keep doing this and thank you for these inspiring tips you shared to us !
this video definitely helped me with making mountains as my friend challenged me to make a ecosystem in the flat canada map in sandbox. i made a large mountain range that eventually leads to a gap that leads to a lush valley where oddly a lot of my hadrosaurs like to chill. it really looks nice when i go into view mode on a sinosaur on either side of the mountains and you just see massive mountains tipped with snow at the top. it looks nicer from the view when you look from the plains that rest at the foot of said mountains
You make awesome parks. I am not really much for the snow waterfall idea, mostly because my brain would focus in on the fact that it is a strip of snow and not water. But I hope one day they improve the terrain and park decorations more to allow more variety. Variety is always good in these types of games.
This is so amazing Evo. I'm one of your biggest fans and I joined around when you hit 10,000 Subs I keep Subscribing and subscribing again some reason 😅. What was I saying yeah it's amazing build :D
i have just discovered your channel and a whole new world opens up for me, i am also dutch and a big jw fan, thx for the inspiration for new park ideas.
I’ve got to say thanks because this has not only helped me understand how to do this in JWE2, but also gives me ideas ok how to approach my college work in UE5, as it used similar landscape tools! Thanks a bunch :D
Omg sooo awesome cant believe it too a long time to make but wow now have to go back to my park and fix some mountains and fix my volcano as well but just awesome work on the terrain and keep up the creative work
Awesome video!!! Also I got a tip :), when using the Aviary for an Indoor Exhibit for any Dinosaur (I use the Theri) what you can do is a lush Swamp, which is a Swamp that is covered with jungle and water, what I usually do as well is use the placeble trees and line them on the track and anywhere where there is open space or sun so it gets a shadowy feel and a more closterphobic feel to really show the horror of what the Theri is
I play this game since the beginning and watching all of your videos. I thought I've seen it all but that waterfall inspiration is so beautiful. Thank you and keep up the good work 🔥
As a big JPOG and Jurassic Park/Jurassic World/Dino fan, watching one or two of your videos single-handedly convinced me to buy JWE2(hadn't played the first). After playing the campaign, I think I'll be watching these quite a bit more now! Truly great content.
Its funny that you built this on the Canada square map, because I also made a dinosaur preserve on the Canada map when the square maps were released! I even made my own meteor impact site (Though I must admit yours is a lot more realistic.) That aside, this is really cool, and I think that using the 'snow' for waterfalls is a genius idea! It's great that you showcased it and gave a shout out to a fellow creator as well!
Also tip for any people who just make free roam type places, for the mountain you can place invisible fences in places where realistically dinosaurs can't climb up
I just found something out in my research facility build! The little squares of concrete fence in security areas can house one of the cameras! This really helped me and hope everyone who reads this finds this useful too!
You're an absolutely mad lad for doing this with the vanilla tools, I've done some similar stuff in about a week with Kai's Expanded Terrain Tools on an Expanded Parks map
Hey Evo! I just realized, you can pair Moros Intrepidus with yutyrannus! (This night take a lot of squinting, like A LOT, The Oviraptor and Pyroraptor, you can think the Oviraptor is just a bump it had while training, running etc!)
I hate my brain. Watching your videos fills it with ideas and I want to play. But I'm usually watching your videos while working on painting models, so by the time I get free time to play the game, I find myself loading up a new map and the cool ideas I've gotten just, *ziiiip* gone, disappeared, legged it, done a runner. So I end up loading Dreamlight Valley and playing around on that as there are other things to do while I'm trying to re design the terrain. But, who knows if I find a cheap deal on the game for the 30th, I may get it on PC as it would be nice to play it while sat in a comfy chair. Keep making these great videos, really love your content and I promise, one day I'll make a park with all I've learnt from you.
Bc I play on switch I’ve used some of your tips of evo 1 and they actually are really fun to make! It was fun to try and make my park look more like a park then a fake game park! Thanks for the content.
one thing I like doing when I make really large waterfalls is using the smallest mediterranean rocks at the bottom that are the whitest rocks we have in the game and really give the effect of water splashing, mist, etc
usually in my own time i dont make parks i usually do this in game cuz im bored, i have quite a few of them in 1 and 2, i usually make the dinosaurs fit the color of the surroundings and have dinosaurs there that would make sense, like bary on an island or something. also i didnt know quite a few of these so thanks! ima try and use em

I think I’m going to try some of these tricks in Prehistoric Kingdom; I’ve been struggling to start my newest park, and this might give me the inspiration I need. Thanks Evo!!!
Tbh I have more fun doing editing and creating natural environments then I do the park aspect. I think I can blame all the time spent playing JPOG Site B mode back in the day for that, inspired by Walking with Dinosaurs and the like. One of the things I did a while back was make different biomes within the Biosyn Valley map (such as a volcano, swamp, desert, etc), way before the mixed foliage was an option. If we ever get mixed terrain paints as an option that would truly open the doors to a lot more customization in this regard. Another thing worth mentioning is that you can go pretty deep on the maps too, much like creating giant mountains. It can get a bit weird if you go pretty deep though. It's also very time consuming to do with the default tools. Anyways great video, and I definitely learned a bit on how I can improve working on my environment designs, and working with the terrain tools.
With the waterfall I found a little trick with it. If you brush a little bit of rock like just blot it down on the waterfall it will look like it’s running
Also, if you add some of the snow terrain under the water would it look like splashing/foaming water? perhaps trailing on in one direction to suggest a current?
I made a Sierra Nevada hunting reserve map it’s pretty cool also this just popped into my head but we need an Africa map having mt Kilimanjaro as a backdrop would be sick
Beautiful work and a source of inspiration! However I did notice two "errors" in the waterfall concept. One is that the middle lake drains more water than it receives, and the other is that a lot of water seems to be coming from a small mountain. But I guess it's much harder to do from a large mountain connecting to the edge?

7:30 I watched this in the middle of the night. You made such a random comment that it was hard not to wake up my family because I was trying not to laugh.
Turning the park into a landscape sounds fun, you could play it off as (depending on the theme) Hammond wanted something similar to Jurassic Park Japan, but not wanting the fiasco that came with it. Or you could do something Biosyn related as we haven’t done much with them since their expansion.
So, should I do a follow-up where I turn this landscape into a park?
yes
I kinda like making natural reserves, maybe you could do one of those
Definitely
For sure
Yes yes yes 100%%%%%
