OMG you just gave me the best confirmation I’ve ever gotten!! In 1990 my senior year in high school, we had a off campus outing referred to as “Senior Picnic “ . I would describe it more like a big family reunion/ Barbecue. I was playing volleyball like 200 ft away from the softball field right. It was technically 90’ but I consider it the 80’s lol. I say that because I was wearing rings on every finger and specifically I had a Coin panda ring (I don’t think you would know what I’m referring to bc you’re much younger) Anyway, the guys from the varsity baseball team were playing softball. All of a sudden, everyone is yelling my name and next thing I know I get slammed in the face with the softball. I somehow managed to put my hand in between my cheek and the ball, however my jaw was broken. Every single ring on that hand was mangled I just remembered the panda coin ring was flattened. I had to have surgery, my mouth was wired shut for 6 weeks. I went to prom & graduation with a wired mouth, literally the day before my trip to Hawaii (my graduation gift from my Dad, which he & sister went) was when I got cleared & they removed the wires from my jaw. I can’t say it was a bad experience, because it didn’t stop me from talking lol. There were a lot of jokes about it. Plus at Prom the Pitcher, Batter and catcher (all 3 were good friends of mine) gave me a made up award, the best hit award. I actually look back now, it seems like a freaking movie as does so much of my life. I mean my life experience s are kinda insane not separately but when you put them all together!! Working for Worlds Gym Corporate of Texas, meeting Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Marky Mark(having lunch with him before he was the big movie star) Then working for Enron for 5 years making crazy 6 figures only to implode. Then I allowed depression after Enron to lead me to choose drug addiction for to many years. Ughh And now I’m living in recovery since Dec 2022 and a completely different person than I have ever been!! ❤
