I was honestly hoping for more than Native American marriage history; like royal marriage practices and typical marriage practice history when I requested for the history of marriage. I know some cultures jump over a broom and some break a piece of glass; while others throw flowers. And what's the purpose of a veil? Why do some marry multiple mates? What was the cow about? And many other questions?
Sorry, man! I'll do a pure History Of Marriage as well!
@@HistoryButFast I do love anything history on Native Americans especially the Cherokee tribes as I am 1/64th and know very little about the tribes but thanks for doing a pure history.
No problem! It's my pleasure!
Why do you use the term mates instead of partner or spouse? Is it a Native American or Western term?
@@Luna-go5fo I referred to them as mates as short for the mating that occurs in average heterosexual relationships. I know of some type of religion that has it were a man can have many wives. I haven't heard of any marriages in modern times in which a woman has multiple husbands but I have heard abouts it in regards to royals long ago because of lands and other property not wanting to be split up. I don't know if their are any practices such as in African tribes or maybe some other cultures. I just think it's interesting how marriages are determined and practiced but I don't know enough about them to understand their value in today's world.
This AI art perpetuates stereotypes.
Great video BUT WHY do you keep showing EAST ASIAN and what appears to be Scandinavian images & how is visionquest "TWISTED"? I am descended from Cherokee, Mikosukee, Creek, Choctaw, Mixtec, Seminole Blackfoot & Chickasaw. My mom's side is Oklahoman and Texan and paternal is from the Southeast. Many nations here in the Americas and all over the world practise visionquesting. You need to be more respectful of people's traditions.
Sorry for phrasing it as "twisted", but it was just the first thought that popped into my head when I read about the ritual... I'm a big fan of fasting and spiritual life overall, don't get me wrong! Hope you still liked the video and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE if you did!
Agreed, The AI art is horrible not even close to an accurate rendition. That might be the AI not the producer of the video. Nor does this video cover the "entire" history of Native American rituals. But note for whoever produced this, Please stick to historic pictures, paintings, or real video. Please do better.
Thanks for the feedback! Hope you still liked the content!
Hey, fellow content creators! I've been immersing myself in TH-cam, exploring the art of storytelling through videos. Recently, I discovered VideoGPT, and it's been like having a virtual content assistant, turning my videos into something next-level.
@@moviewhatifscene don't do it. AI is destroying content
It was the Iroquois Confederacy that lived in the north east made up of six tribes. The Cherokee were were from the southern interior mid Atlantic coast. So you got that fact Wrong. Also way to many depictions of non- Native American cultures. Interesting subject but Way to many screw ups.
Sorry! I'll do better in the future! ❤️ Be sure to SUBSCRIBE so you'll know I learned my lesson👍
