- पहली बार सांसद बनीं तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) की मिमी चक्रवर्ती ने राजनीति में पदार्पण को लेकर NDTV से कहा कि 'दीदी (ममता बनर्जी) ने कहा तो ठीक लगा. मैंने फैमिली से विचार विमर्श किया. दीदी ने मम्मी को आश्वासन दिया कि जो भी होगा अच्छा होगा. हालांकि लोगों ने कहा कि करियर के पीक में यह अच्छा नहीं होगा. लेकिन सोचा यंग जनरेशन भी आगे आए और लोगों के लिए काम करे.' वहीं, पहली बार चुनी गईं तृणमूल कांग्रेस की ही दूसरी सांसद नुसरत जहां ने NDTV से कहा कि 'किसी को वायलेंस नहीं चाहिए. बंगाल के लोग सिंपल लोग हैं'. देखें- पूरी बातचीत
