In an estate situation, what form would be appropriate to allow the IRS to speak with the executor about tax matters, specifically an amended return. Taxpayer is obviously deceased, and person requesting, the executor, is following up on an amended return.

Depending on the situation, you may not need to file any form to file an amended return on behalf of a deceased taxpayer's estate. If a fiduciary relationship exists, you may need to file IRS Form 56, Notice Concerning Fiduciary Relationship, which you can read more about at: www.teachmepersonalfinance.com/irs-form-56-instructions/. In some cases, simply attaching court-appointed or court-certified documentation may suffice.
You can find more information in IRS Publication 559, Survivors, Executors, and Administrators: www.irs.gov/publications/p559

As a paid tax preparer , do I need to get this signed by all my clients?

    • @teachmepersonalfinance2169

You will need to have a separate IRS Form 8821 on file for each client if you wish to receive information from the IRS on their behalf. If you wish to interact with the IRS on your clients' behalf, then IRS Form 8821 will not let you represent them before the IRS. You would need to file IRS Form 2848, Power of Attorney and Declaration of Representative: www.teachmepersonalfinance.com/irs-form-2848-instructions/

Tax payer and owners designee same person how did I filled out the files?

    • @teachmepersonalfinance2169

I’m not sure I understand the question. This form is for taxpayers who are trying to authorize another person to receive their tax information, like your CPA.
If the taxpayer (Line 1) and designee (Line 2) are the same person, I’m not sure that you need to fill out this form. Or is there a different question that you are trying to ask?

How do I stop my tax information from being shared with a 3rd party rental management company. I signed a release form for my tax return info to be released to the rental management company I pay rent to and I can't revoke the release form.

You can file a new Form 8821 with the IRS that revokes your previous authorization form.

I greatly appreciate your response but from what I'm reading the 8821 is granting consent to release my taxes to an inquiring corporation, not block their request. I can't revoke the release I signed and I want to inform the IRS not to honor or release my taxes to anyone that has a signed release seeking to see my tax return.
I want the IRS to reject any attempts made by any third party seeking to see my tax return going forward into the future. Do I still need to use the 8821 to accomplish this task??

@@stevenlawrence5733 You can also use Form 8821 to revoke a previous authorization. The Line 5 Instructions contain more detail, but I've copied and pasted some of it here:
If you want to revoke a prior tax information authorization without submitting a new authorization, write “REVOKE” across the top of the
authorization you want to revoke. Provide a current taxpayer signature and date under the original signature.
If you don’t have a copy of the tax information authorization you want to revoke, and it isn’t a specific-use authorization, send a notification to the IRS using the corresponding address in the Where To File Chart. In the notification:
      1. State that the authority of the designee is revoked,
      2. List the name and address of each designee whose authority is being revoked,
      3. List the tax matters and tax periods, and
      4. Sign and date the notification.
If you are completely revoking a designee’s authority, state “revoke all years/periods” instead of listing the specific tax matters, years, or periods.
To revoke a specific-use tax information authorization, send the tax information authorization or notification of revocation to the IRS office handling your case, using the instructions above.
