- Hello! It is nearing SNSD's 10th anniversary and I was feeling nostalgic so I decided to make a compilation of my favorite high notes from the vocal line, including Jessica (only songs with performances, even if lipsynced). This is based only on my personal preferences
You'll notice that Seo and especially Sunny have less clips here, sorry about that, I love them both as well.

actually,, tiffany and seohyun became main vocalists when jessica left so technically, 4 main vocalists, 5 lead vocalists (which can be main vocalists in other groups), 5 rappers, and 9 visuals
skinny legend as much as i love snsd but only tiffany is probably the good rapper.. and soo yuri yoona hyo can pass as lead but not main.. but dem all 9 visuals and tiff jess sunny and seo definitely can pass as main vocals in other groups according to todays standard

they used to get along but something happened around 2010-2011 that made them really awkward towards one another like they still interacted but you could see they weren’t comfortable with one another as Taeyeon and Tiffany are for example
also edit: I remember there were rumors floating around when i got into SNSD about it being something with TTS and Jessica being originally part of it but leaving for some reason I don’t remember and Taeyeon getting sorta mad
I don’t feel like they hated one another and if there is hate, it most likely risen during 2014, specially after she left SNSD, since Taeyeon represents SNSD as their leader and Jessica believed/believes (Not really sure where she stands today on this matter) she was thrown out by them

We all don't know what happened between them but it's a total shame really. They could've been the BIGGEST duo in kpop period.

If you ask about duo, TaengSic always win.. The main vocalist and beautiful voices I've ever heard, Taeyeon and Jessica are on another level.. Snsd is the only girl group I stan all as vocalist, even dance lines sounds super great and amazing

Taengsic are not idol level, they talented artists, Same as Ailee level. Seohyun and Tiffany are definitely the best among idols. From a sone. Snsd just all rounded group, basically the best at everything.

You can't compare ailee to to taeyeon because both idols are different. both of them are strong vocals but when it comes to emotion taeyeon slays meanwhile Jessica's vocal range is higher than ailee

For a group of 9 people to have this number of Vocal line is really rare. Most groups even for a small group they have like 1 or 2 vocal line. With SNSD's Vocal line Taeyeon, Jess, Seo & Tiffany can easily become the Main Vocal. Also the thing with SNSD is that they have balance, from the Vocal to Dance line. They may have 5 under vocal line but even the Dance line are also a decent one & vice versa. Truly a group like SNSD is one of a kind & came only once in a lifetime. They're incomparable. Not even the most popular GG & current GG right now can't be compared not because they are already a veteran in the kpop industry, but if you followed SNSD during their rookie or early years you can see how talented they are already. They are like a group of multi talented individuals who are put together and thus creating a monster group that became the face of Hallyu Wave around the world & become the most successful Kpop GG of all time & one of the world's most successful GG along with GG like Spice Girls, TLC, Destiny's Child, etc, of all time.

Jessica was such an important voice in SNSD. She brings colors to melody. Now I kinda understand what's lacking in their post-930 releases.

A strong point about SNSD vocalists is that their voices are also very easily recognisable. Girl groups these days have vocalists that don't sound that distinguishable compared to vocalists of other groups (there are exceptions though). It was a huge strength for SNSD. Even their dancers have voices that's not easily heard in Kpop for e.g Yuri and Hyoyeon.
SNSD vocal line kills. But Taetisjes is my fav trio. jeti and taeny or even taengsic are bombz. literally best vocal line.

Yo, Taeyeon and Jessica can just walk AND sing a solid high note without wavering. THAT'S what you call Legendary. SeoBaby's vocals improved SO DAMN MUCH as well. That BangBang high note took my soul for a solid 3 seconds!
SNSD's lead vocalists could become other "popular" girl groups' main vocalists.
PS: Their dance line is also superb.
Honestly I think Seohyun, Taeyeon and Jessica’s voices are great. I do prefer Tiffany though, for the sheer fact she constantly amazes me with her vocal growth and emotion she puts into whatever she sings

Credit where credit is due, SM came back from America with the ambition to FIND 12 male singers to turn into a single group, and 12 girls to create a group from. He found his male singers, and turned them into Super Junior, but he never found 12 girls he was fully satisfied with. He did manage to find nine, and they became SNSD. That WAS quite an accomplishment, and I don't think he ever gave himself enough credit for it.

Actually sunny has a good voice character. The character sounds like Jessica. Soft but still strong, even though it's still stronger Jessica but I think the character's voice is quite strong. Only SM hasn't promoted it through solo like Taeyeon. I'm sure, if Sunny makes a solo album then it will be well received.

God I cannot WAIT for Sunny to make her solo debut, I really hope that’s something she wants to do, because her voice deserves that spotlight.
This video truly shows why they’re still considered the Nation’s Girl Group after all these years, even the dance line has their own solo debuts as singers, and the vocal line can hold their own as dancers. They’re such a rare mix of women who are all so talented and well-rounded but still complement each other perfectly.

@kylah kim Tiffany is lead vocalist. They focus on singing and dancing, thats why there is vocal line and dance line and as a member this is their main role in the group. She is part of the vocal line, Taeyeon and Jessica are main and the other 3 are lead vocals.

Tiffany's voice is so underrated. She has a very good and distinct voice quality knowing that she had serious sickness on her vocals. Other members may belt out but for me the most unique and powerful vocal is from Fany, already proven now in her solo career.

whatever you say who's lead or main, you can't deny that you can always hear jessica and taeyeon's voice in every choruses of GG's songs as the base (means their two voices are the loudest in every choruses). That's why GG's songs has different feeling after Jessica's left.
*TaeSic* is really the secret ingredients of them when they Ot9 all of them sang the chorus coz *TaeSic lead the chorus* but when Sica left its hard for Taeyeon to lead the chorus for group that's why Seohyun helped to harmonize the chorus(try to watch INTW ballad ver. in sketchbook) also when they Ot8 one member assigned to sang the chorus that's I discover the difference on Ot8 to Ot9.....
Duo: *TaengSic specially in Great Escape*
Trio: Either TaeJessSeo or TaeJessNy but I prefer TaeJessSeo their mixed harmonizer, angelic and powerful

If you listen carefully, the ot8 chorus Will be like "all night" last chorus. You can hear Tae vocal so clearly , i think that is the reason

So there is 5 Members who can singing very well, and there is 5 members too who can rap very well, and then there is 4 members who can dance very well.. So all of them are really talented (sorry for my bad english)

It’s so hard to determine which one is better between Taeyeon and Jessica. They are both the best of their own. I think Taeyeon is just more stable and consistent that’s why she has more lines, but Jessica’s range is undeniably higher. But putting them together is always eargasms. I wish we could have more of them two.
Lol , TTSJ (Taeyeon , Tiffany , Seohyun and Jessica) can literally take on all other girl groups when it comes to vocal power. Heck , TaengSic would be enough to take on 70% of them. And that is a *fact* .

TTS are still one of the best combination ever made. TTS compliments each others voice. Well controlled, not all the time but blends very well. 😉
SNSD is one of the best KPOP group ever made. 5 strong vocalist, 4 great dancers and 9 visual goddesses. How can we moved on from these girls?

Mr Mr one of SNSD hardest song. 2 times key change in the last chorus. 1st when Tiffany changes key in her belting part. Then Taeyeon after her belting part where seohyun comes.

It's just sad that SM did Sunny no justice for the first few years of SNSD. Sunny can whistle like Mariah, can hit high notes and has a very unique tone.

I really still say SNSD have one of the strongest vocal lines of any girl group I can think of. People seem to think only Taeyeon can sing or something? But Jessica and Seohyun are better than many main vocalists (and that's saying a lot bc there are amazing ones!). And Sunny/Tiffany are vastly underrated for their voices. Trainees with voices like theirs could be main vocals today! I don't like when fans overrate their fave idol's singing abilities but I truly believe as a whole, these 5 are extremely strong.

@@azizdhifalli8017 But I am saying that most people see Taeyeon as the big vocalists but that Jessica and Seohyun are extremely strong in the group too. It has nothing to do with their rank in the group. Why would I say people think only Taeyeon and Jessica can sing but Seohyun is good too if I am pushing a point that people only recognize Taeyeon?
