So what made you decide to use ICF and SIPS?
I’m under the impression that with SIPS you really need to have all your electrical and plumbing runs planned out in advance and have to manufacturer put chases in place when the panels are made because once the walls are in place there isn’t a way to put new chases in without damaging the structural integrity of the panel?

Great question. I probably can't answer it in this, but I am working on a video to talk about that. Sips come with conduit runs a specific spacing, and you can always request extra. It's definitely harder to run anything in the Sips. The main reason I decided to use them was the speed of construction for a DIY build. When I started looking at everything, lumber was through the roof and it was actually a little cheaper at that time also.

have you overhead a fire situation by going to slow? Or a burn on the material?

Good question. No fire, but I have gotten some smoke. Nothing to crazy. It has a trigger so when it starts smoking, I just let off and keep cutting till it starts to slow going through the material. It also has a heat control so you can dial the max heat up and down. I have melted the foam a little having it to hot. After a couple cuts you get used to it and know when to let off the trigger or dial down the heat.

Have any experience with the cordless tool?

I don't. I just saw that one a couple of weeks ago. I'm assuming the battery life won't be that great.
