    I noticed on a previous episode that someone had left a comment that these guys do not display a high level of tradesmanship (it's just a torch and hammers). Hopefully after watching this episode that individual will most certainly have changed their mind. Many Thanks

      I'm sure a lot of us could heat something up with a torch and hit it with a hammer, I'm also equally sure that would not bring the same results as these guys get. Definitely a lot of skill and experience in both sides of that workshop.

    Another fantastic episode the best thing here was than Beau kept that welding helmet on heating up and removing that idler hub that scalding oil and super heated steam could have blinded or seriously damaged Beau eyes sight never mind the facial scaring. Lucky talented guy, As a former fitter/welder i think Beau enjoys making from new, i definitely would compared with the frustration of working with original parts to working order. especially after explosion damage too. Such talented guys, i would also like to say this video series gives such a clear intimate examination of the phunctional parts of a Stug and the problems encountered it has to be a first in the world. Ingenuity and patience will always overcome adversity but this Stug is pushing the limits. Fantastic craftsmanship and attention to detail. My dad was a flight mechanic on B-29's during the war and I think the motto that he lived by is true of your efforts: "the difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer."

    • @ErikNielsendk
      @ErikNielsendk ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomascambell4730 Been my motto as well except I used miracles and not impossible. Just a matter of seeing possibilities not yet explored and knowledge to perform them and willingness to fail and rethink. Giving up without trying is making failing default.

    The teams skillful use of the Press to iteratively straighten plate and cast parts is truly impressive. You can see them learning how much the part will recover elastically, then adjust the supports, and push the press over marginally into the plastic range on the next pressing operation. A perfectly flat part post elastic recovery! Incredible.
