Has anyone ever asked the Australian Aboriginals to review these US petroglyphs? It would be interesting to see if they could identify any of these symbols.
Good idea - or perhaps any 'ancient' culture - if it means anything to the indigenous people of S America.
I would love to see all petroglyphs put into am AI system to see if it could identify them or at least common themes
There are so many parallels with all petroglyphs that it looks like it was the same artist that did them all... cryptids&aliens perhaps
Yes there's symbols there that are identical to our Australian Aboriginal . Spirals with the tail pointing up, is a portal to the above . We have a man with antlers too he's the lightning man .
Stay the night out there and you will see yellow and blue lights that come out from the rocks. Its the most amazing thing I have ever seen

I felt that was the reason as well. This would make the petroglyphs a LOT older than presumed.

They were drawing what they saw in the sky. Higher up is the best place for viewing the sky.

Hey Carl greetings from Mexico. New fan. You know. When you where talking about the reptile heads or dinosaurs heads, it reminded me of Nagas. Nagas are these ancient Hindu snakes with several heads, seven to be exact and they would always be placed at the entrance of a temple, not all temples but if they where put there, the reason would be for protection of the temple. So if it happens to be seven different serpent rock shaped formation around the area...most likely that is an indication of a nearby edification.
You get it. I’m clairvoyant/telepath & I could feel them before seeing them & what happened to them , often contrary to history. I would have loved to explored that area with you. The petrified forest has a deeper history hidden.

To me, if I think of how a 5 yr old draws a picture...the bottom half of the paper is land, the top is sky...When looking up to the sky as a tornado forms, the sky will spiral...If the wavy snakelike drawings do represent tunnels going beneath the earth, and there is a large chamber for everyone to gather, then this may be the equivalent to a tornado drill.

Hi Carl, question, does it look like the panels have been through some kind of unnatural heat ??? Have you ever heard about the nuclear war that happened thousands of years ago in an area of India and also Pakistan ??? I wonder if something similar happened there where you are filming or not far away so the stone is exposed to heat and thus gives of that burnt look. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💞

Native pueblo resident from Santa Clara Pueblo. The petroglyphs here are from the migration of the Anasazi as they were pushed out by the Ute, Navajo, and the mysterious six fingered giants with red hair. There was a huge battle near Cortez, CO, where the people were split, and half formed the pueblos in NM, the other half forming the Hopi Mesas in AZ. The spiral is ALWAYS a sign of migration as it was used as a marker to follow the paths to safety as the people fled the evil that spread over the land. These were NEVER depictions of portals. That's a new age idea never-resented in historical times. This is part the oral history of Santa Clara Pueblo, NM. Never will these spirals symbolize portals. The demons and ant people come out of the ground from tunnels and caves, and the kachinas come out of the clouds at the tops of mountain peaks. This is fact. Ask the elders.

What if there was water and this was near the top of it where all the petroglyphs are. Also I feel like I’m seeing plants and greenery everywhere. Intuitively I get that there was a large plantblife and forests all over this region

Those are ravens, bigger cousin to crows. Probably the smartest bird with the largest vocabulary. I love ravens!
Falling out of the sky? You see how steep those paths are. The petroglyph documents seeing someone, probably someone they cared deeply about, falling to their death.

I am by no means an expert in petroglyphs; however, to me those wavy lines with the people next to them and the ones that you said sometimes the people are within the two halves that seems like the wavy line either leads to or leads away from.... look like a river or creek and the two halves could represent the source of the water flow. Like it's representing the Earth opening and water flowing out of it. It could also explain why there's people next to or around and/or in it. The other petroglyphs around it also represent natural features such as rock formations or maybe mountains maybe this is either a nap or an artistic landscape depicting the artist surroundings at the time of the carving. People often try to put greater meaning or find different explanations that are extraordinary where is very simple explanation exist. Although I too would prefer the more extraordinary explanations which is why I understand why others often do so.

@32:03 Dude, I straight up feel like those 3 triangles represent the Pyramids and the carving beneath is showing the underground tunnels under the pyramid to a chamber.
At 26:36, it sort of looks like a DNA Helix.
The tons of pressure exerted from a mile-high tidalwave would force the minerals into the organic matter, petrifying it.
the way I understand, there are two Plant life, Dicot and Monocot type. Commonly Trees are Dicot type and are much easier to identify if only the tree rings are still visible. Monocot type have parallel fibers like Coconut, Palm trees, Bamboos and most Plants and Vegetables.

The petroglyphs at 20:40 are your most important, IMO. They may refer to underground activities. Similar stuff exists in the Pinos Altos Range in New Mexico.
Check out The Winemakers Cave in New Mexico . They were from another planet or star system they created viewing rooms with art work that wasn't made with paint but vibrant colors. Symbols as well some are the same. They also left a CD it's fascinating.

Those sedimentary layers were laid down over many years, not something done fast. Also, that whole area used to be an inland ocean millions of years ago, so finding layers of sand and mud is going to be quick common. The petrified plant life and trees is fascinating though. Would be an awesome place to fossil hunt. No, that rock definitely did not look like a snake head, but imagination is a good thing.

Those are possible depictions of a strange box that was carried through. Some of those depictions look like ornamental handles. Others show its destructive powers. Like the man touching the Box shooting electricity out of his hand✌❤😃
